So easy to get you going
- VANTEL

Taking the piss for losing one's businees due to reasons beyond their control is a good way to debate the cap. I'm sure your family is proud of you for taking me to the cleaners.
You keep taking the high road and say I lost my business because I don't understand the cap like you do.

Dude you do the same thing all the fuken time. You come out firing shots and then claim Victim.

Fuk you you miserable bastard

Three days in a row you have come out weaponizing old age against me. Three fuken days. I know you are not that smart but if you are going to start things expect return fire.

Keep in mind I NEVER start these things.

I am not saying I can do the cap. I am saying the people in charge will handle the cap. Big difference.

Okay maybe not.

Tryamkin deal expected in the near future … Canucks won’t have a lot of cap space to work with
TSN Radio Vancouver: Nikita Tryamkin‘s agent Todd Diamond said that things are still quiet on a contract with the Vancouver Canucks, but that a deal in the near future is expected.

TSN Radio Vancouver: Diamond said that a trade from the Canucks was never discussed. The Canucks like the physical gifts that Tryamkin brings and expects a contract to get done.

Patrick Johnston of the Vancouver Sun: Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes $1.7 million in bonuses will be applied the Canucks salary cap next season. The flat salary cap will make it trickier for GM Jim Benning to re-sign some of their restricted and unrestricted free agents.

The Canucks will have just over $15 million in cap space heading into the offseason with 16 players under contract.

Sending Sven Baertschi and potentially Loui Eriksson to the AHL would free up some space.

Maybe they can get Jacob Markstrom signed around $5 million, but that still wouldn’t leave a lot of room to re-sign both Tyler Toffoli and Chris Tanev.

They also have to re-sign RFAs Jake Virtanen, Tyler Motte, Troy Stecher, Adam Gaudette and Zack MacEwen.

This cap stuff is all so confusing.😁

This is the math that concerns me. It’s really tight to the cap again if we want a full roster. We can hope that LE and SB (frank) off but I don’t think that’s realistic to just assume that will happen.

Those RFAs play significant minutes so you’d hope they aren’t replaced with lesser talent.

Replacing TT, Marky, and CT if not signed to favourable deals will be even more difficult to replace.

It’s not a big deal if we want this team to stay the same or even regress to get a better draft position. But if we want to see this team take a significant step forward (like a top 10 position in the league) then concern is warranted. I think that’s why we see sports journalists and commentators bringing it up.

The NHL just pulled 5 million dollars off the table for the NHL. They announced in Feb that the cap was going up to 84.5 mil instead of 81.5 . They were also going to increase it more so players would save on escrow.

The world changed in March not only in pro sports but for everyone on the planet . I am pretty sure it is Bennings fault.

Lets get one thing clear. I keep saying You lost your business? You make it sound like there is a history of this instead of the 20 minutes it has actually been.

You claim victim all the time Bro I seen you do it with Booner and how you were raped after taunting him . I seen Neem also have enough of your bullpoop to the point he called you a cripple.

You clearly are a loudmouth about rights and treating people right and three days in a row try to goat me into an fight by calling me a senior.

I make damn sure I never fire the first insult on here always. But eventually even I say enough is enough and fire back at a pr1ck like you.

For all the stupidity wrapped up in one man/GM, he's done one of the GM jobs extremely well, and that's draft better than most clubs in the entire NHL. Now they just need someone in there that's better at more facets of the job.

Did you see that giant grouper some NFL guy caught near Jupiter Florida....holy crap it was 400lbs.

You make sh*t up to suit your point of view. Tell me about the cap rule changes made last summer.

You, Booner, Nighthawk, And Lord H do not intimidate me, individually or in a pack. I stand by my opinions and point of view. You call people clowns and stupid and I point out that you are close to end of life. So, I guess my point is f*ck you.

It sounds like a lot until you realize there's a bunch of guys that need to be signed just to maintain the mediocre team they were this year....essentially a cap strapped bubble team

Not trying to intimidate at all. But like I said earlier if you are gonna push the same sh!t day in day out and dish it out...you have to be willing to take it. If not...STFU!!!!

It is a bit bothersome to me as well.

I remember a quote from Martin Brodeur, (I think), back in o4-05, when he said(paraphrasing), that the cap era would eliminate the middle tier ho key players and the bottom players will be filled in with minor league calibre or youth, that aren't ready yet.
He also stated that the league needs to reduce the amount of teams, as it is already watered down.

Loved Martin for his honest opinions.

As you’ve said, drafting has been fantastic for the most part. It’s just all the other stuff that’s negated some of the good that’s been accomplished.

For once, I’d like this franchise to get their poop together and put a consistent product on the ice for more than a season or two.

My rebuild timeline had Benning gone by now for someone who could trade, sign and manage the assets that JB drafted. I wouldnt be upset of they replaced him with someone more capable.

With that being said, he is improving and that makes the decision to replace him more complicated.
