Some additional points following today’s MOU agreement: 1) Players whose contract expires after 2020-21 are eligible to sign a contract exstension that begins in the 2021-22 season three days after the new CBA is ratified.

We've got a guy. Check the taint of Alberta, he's a rink rat there.
- Load Management

Whoa now.... narratives...

By the way does the taint now become the city of Champions for real with the CUP Final to be played there or does Hogtown get it more then half a century later...?

Hmm anyone think Canucks will try to lock up QH and Petey on the cheap during these times of contract market uncertainty...?

Absolutely. I think it gets done part way through the season though, lots of other shot to do in the off season. Totally possible they get done around training camp. Would be kinda smart.

Yeah that may happen. Though if they get their two biggest players locked up now, or extended on bridges, that would allow them to know how much to spend on the other UFA/RFA's they have end of this season. Those guys would want multi year deals and we know the Canuck cap is tight with them all in on a flat fixed cap for next couple of years.

Key to the above is that they will still have to find a way to make Louie's contract not to count on the cap. Get creative and do a Hossa like LTIR, Bagosian type mutual termination or a side deal for retirement with a consulting contract job of equal pay value. Something like Luongo got from Panthers. I don't know. Whatever it takes because that's the only way to make all them contracts fit on the team cap.

Triggered bro, he definitely doesn't get it if he's going to try to lump the neo nazi flag in there.

It's not a difficult concept, the flag known as the Confederate flag signifies white supremacy. It wasn't very relevant during the civil other than being the Virginia battle flag and for the most part wasn't a symbol of the south until later. It was adopted by the KKK and white supremacists long after the end of the civil war.

Not surprisingly this resurgence occured during the Jim Crow era and later during civil rights protests and now recently during the Black Lives Matter movement.

He just sounds like an ignorant old white guy at best.

Same argument as people who try to claim the swastikas represent fertility and well being.

I laughed, I thought is was a parody or something similar, it was posted in joke of the day forum in a woodworking site I belong to.

If it wasn’t meant as a joke, it was presented in a satirical fashion, I can’t see it as a PR piece to embolden any one movement.

Edit: guess some people really do believe everything on the internet.

I am not saying I can do the cap. I am saying the people in charge will handle the cap. Big difference.
- VANTEL

How is this different from you or any one else calling out signing the Sedins, Edler, Loui, or any of us calling out management or coaches or players do...ever? I mean what the (frank) are we doing here then?

You've been wrong about the cap all year, even longer. At least now you can blame Covid19 I guess.

When you have to make decisions that are not good for the direction of the team because you have dead weight contracts on your team you have cap issues. LE, Beagle, Sutter. Those are the easy ones, I'll bet Myers comes into play which is why many didn't like the signing.

You defended those signings, aside from wanting Lucic over LE. The Luongo recapture? Hell many of us have been pointing it out for well over a year that it was a real possibility to bite us in the ass. Is it Benning's fault? No, and yes. He didn't sign the deal but you have to at least consider there's a strong possibility of a 41 year old goalie hanging em up with little financial gain to play for.

Using the "he's the professional" copout is lame. Before your "gang" comes to defend you, I'll point out JT is a political professional, so is DT.

Cap isn’t as dire as some would make it out to be. Sure there is work to do but so what it’s workable. Besides we are trending up & no reason I know of to think it won’t continue.

Cap & roster for my above trade proposal

https://www.capfriendly.c.../armchair-gm/team/1787022

3.9m leftover give or take after bonuses for Petey & Hughes are paid out.

We can leave out this part, unless you feel white people aren't subject to racism.

I grew up in a small town in northern Ontario, about 10,000 people. I grew up playing hockey and going to school with native people, chinese, indian, african.... you name it. Still, 95% of the population give or take a percentage or two was white. The largest issue was english vs french........by far.

I've done racist poop, and been subject to it. I've also been fortunate enough to be totally accepted by people from other backgrounds and cultures often when i'm the only "white" person in the room. I've also witnessed people from other ethnic groups be racist towards each other.

I really appreciate some of the recent movements toward eliminating racism and understand that some groups have been subject to it more than others, but perhaps you need to be more introspective towards your own racial profiling.

Nowhere close to unity during this pandemic in the US as we are up here. 10x the population means a louder voice for those who don’t get it & do what they do. Leadership & arguing get in the way of sensibilities & being cautious. Vanity & other bs reasons are at preposterous levels down south but they keep plugging along mindlessly. What happened to the heat will kill the virus? What moron claimed that? Name slips my mind. Lol
