You are probably correct . Canucks will bring everyone back and give them all hefty raises.

JV's antics. So they will move him because he went out for a beer when he was not in Phase II yet? Sounds logical.

It’s the only reason i could see the kid moved, i have no issues with him.

I have no issue with him either but you have 17 forwards .

One will be bought out. One will be buried. Two will let walk as RFAs. I could see a trade happening, but the simplest answers i think are what more likely happen.

I don’t think owners will be eager to buy out serviceable players and then have to pay another player to do the same job, unless there is a real dollar savings.

It’s not ideal, but it’s more likely than trading young core pieces imo.

For Benning the simplest answers are the word of choice as he’s not able to get creative. If they beat Minnesota, should they in fact play, they’ll have no first round pick....it’s his M.O. and it is what it is. He ALWAYS says he’d like to recover picks but never does, lip service for the sheep essentially.

He won’t trade Boeser because he’s cost certainty and a consistent young producer who he drafted, I could however see him moving Jake Virtanen to try and get a 2nd or 3rd rounder, but even that is reaching as Jake is a 5 on 5 contributor.

At best I think you’ll see nothing happen but maybe a Tryamkin signing.

Eriksson will be paid 700k next year Zack 500K . Who deserves that third line spot more?

Buying out Loui comes along with 2.666 in cap relief in the next two years . Canucks would pay 2/3 of 5 mil less his escrow and they would never again have to stare at that stupid face. It is worth looking into I would say.

Agreed. Don't think much is going to change for the forwards this season. I can see them signing Tree, letting Leivo walk, and getting rid of Sutter or Beagle. Nothing too sexy about it.

It doesn’t make sense (to me) to trade Jake for a draft pick, that won’t play for 4 ish years when he is already playing. Let Leivo and Motte walk, hope Ferland starts on IR, there’s your forward roster for the year.

What I’m saying is I don’t think Aqua gives two poops about cap space next year, so unless there is a real $ savings to buying out Eriksson, I don’t think it will happen

He should care, his GM needs to make sure he has 15-20 million for Petey and Hughes.

Moving Eriksson would go a long way. Buyout would help but I think it would be better off using it on Sutter. I think they will move assets at some point to get rid of his salary.

It would cost Canucks 5 mil to keep him 4.1 to say goodbye.

This guy figures a more realistic dollar for signing Tryamkin, not like the crazy numbers that have been posted on here.

According to Todd Diamond — agent for Canucks RFA defenseman Nikita Tryamkin — during an appearance on TSN 1040, he said he expects to get a deal done for his client and Tryamkin will return to Vancouver for the 2020-21 season.

There will certainly be limitations to the kind of money the Canucks can offer considering the flat salary cap situation next season, so if a deal gets done, it will probably be somewhere in the neighbourhood of the $925K he received as part of his entry-level deal.

1 mil is even better . You should know by now if I posted 1 mil which I actually believe could be more likely people will scream way too low. You post 1.5 to 2 mil people scream too high. There is no winning on this site .

Either way it is a very affordable signing in our cap desperation

We dont like winners here.😁

I think 1 million, for someone who hasn't done anything in this league, is a fair price. By no means am I in favour of signing him again, as I would much rather see some of the youth get a chance, starting with Brisebois, who has proven himself in the AHL, over the past 2 seasons.
Oscar, Benn and Stecher can piss off.

I read that as well, to be clear the agent isn't quoting those numbers the author is. Dhaliwal's quote of a 3M ask came from the agent I think.
