I am sure I will get flack here for saying this --- but yes. I would trade Tony and our lesser 1st round pick this year for Sergachev. Sergachev is younger, plays the left side, and I believe will be the perfect partner for Trouba...
I don't see why Tampa would want Tony though, they can't afford him.

it doesn't make sense for Tampa

Wouldnt you? I know I would. Get every dime you can, while you can. Didnt work for him but its worth a try.

He wanted more than the 925K he received. We said it then, a little cap wiggle room might have resulted in a two year deal at a favorable rate because look at where we are now following the campaign ADA had.

Thats the unfortunate thing. Rangers would have had Tony at another year for an absolute bargain when more cap opens up. Plus an extra year to see what he does

I am hoping the rumors of Edmonton and Toronto are true. Both cities have good facilities and should have good ice in August. Plus the players' chances of getting infected are lower than here in the U.S. Lets see if the NHL can get this one right...

Trade Strome....
- eugenep

You trust Chytil as your 2C? Plus the chemistry Strome has with Panarin led to Panarin having a career year. Not saying he can’t repeat that with someone else, but he’s played with some good centers in his career and played the best with Strome.

Yup.

And if it comes down to keeping Tony or Strome, its not even an option for me

Agreed!

Chytil also played pretty darn well with Buch too. I could see a Panarin, Chytil, Buch line with Kappo on the 1st line. Have the bottom 2 lines as a mix of vets and young guys. Then evaluate strengths/needs as season progresses and use prospects, picks to upgrade at deadline/next offseason. Dynasty begins!
