I’d take him on the Canucks, right now!

Stecher, Sutter, pick for Kill Bill?

I've been a dubas supporter from day 1, but he does scare me with his 100% offense focus. Full disclosure.

Sooner or later, having defense that can play actual defense has to be a focus. (frank)in hell you got more than enough offensive talent...

- joel878

Imo offensive talent is more valuable than defnesive talent. Thus I think it's smart move to load up on offense, bump up their value and then deal from strength for other areas of need. And fill in with new offensive options (like Robertson).

Do not draft depth guys, swing for the fence on each pick. Don't draft a guy cause he's more likely to make the nhl (as 4th liner). That's just dumb. You can get depth anywhere, don't draft it. You draft skill, and you trade for (of sign ufa) defense and grit.

Lids will customize hats. It’s pretty expensive, especially if you have to get them to put the logo into their system to sew it. I tried to make a hat with my daughters hockey team logo on it. We had to transfer the logo into a specific type of file. We did that took it in and when they got it they said the logo was too big, was for like a shirt size won’t fit hat. Had to take it back and try to redo it. Still didn’t work and then we just said (frank) it and had them fit it into their file. But they charge for that

Thanks Burn. Pointed me in the right direction for starters. I have the sized Leaf logo that I want from another manufacturer. Other logo of same size should compliment the front. Want to add a tad to both sides.

Let you know how this shakes out. Much appreciated!

Agree. Issue is, people don't like to trade offensive players.

Bur damn, this brought back flashbacks of us drafting (frank)ing Gauthier in the first round...

Even at the draft he projected as a third line centre. So happy those days are over.

I’m guessing you’re not a fan of the first round pick spent on Freddie the Goat?

Yeah I would agree with that, offense is the higher costed commodity at the end of the day. Even the high end paid defenseman are paid that largely due to their offensive skills.

My angle would be that the leafs should be rounding out... Tinkering with defensive skill sets should be more pertinent than adding more offense first.

A guy like Travis Hamonic fits the teams needs more than a guy like Ristolainen. Just my opinion.

Not for that offer he ain't, but I'd say that if it's a really good trade for the Leafs, they'd probably do it.

If yet to see one that would qualify under those terms anyways...

Not in the least.

Where would the leafs be right now had they not drafted the goat and that guy they drafted instead busted ? They be without their 4th line center who is pretty marginal right now.

True.

I'd gladly make a trade with Nashville involving Ryan Ellis, though. I love Bill Ny and his game (and I really don't want to trade him) but I've wanted Ryan Ellis on the Leafs since Windsor.

Don’t go dragging Kerfoot into this.

Does the Goat even Leaf anymore?

Probably not a good time to mention shea Theodore being drafted 5 spots after goat. 😬

Biggest worry with Ellis is the injuries.

Gauthier was a (frank)ing Datsyuk pick compared to Tyler Biggs or Stuart Percy.

(frank), I need a drink now.

For sure. But a healthy Ellis is incredible.

Plus, the Leafs are due to get some good luck on the injury front, so I'm calling him being completely healthy with the Leafs.

I would have no problem with Ryan Ellis, but I don't like shipping out Willie for him either.

It'd be a package of some sort. Throw in picks and whatnot where needed.

Mike Green is UFA and solves a problem on D for you. There, ya gotta feel better now.
