Im not a fan of either proposal, but I'd take parayko over dumba all day. Including Nylander or rielly in either deal would be redundant. Taking steps backwards to take steps forwards doesn't do anything.

It was just frustrated impatient fans who blamed losses on Freddy, but the real reason was because Barrie was such a disaster. They also brought up the fact that he has a contract coming up, and the Leafs shouldn’t resign him because he’s not good anymore..

Ouch. Yeah I personally hold Freddy accountable for a number of losses this season, just like I hold the blueline accountable. Either could have made the difference in a number of games.

That does not mean I want our goaltender traded, it means I want him to be better. Like he has been in the past.

If anyone’s wondering why Risto receives hate from some Leafs fans, it’s because he plays a hard-nose physical game and the Nylanderps don’t like that.

Remember, it was the Branch Nylandians who were screaming for Rielly and Freddy to be traded most of this season.

Not in the least. Ristolainen gets "hate" (factual evaluation) because he's trash.

He doesn't play an overly hard-nose game either, he more cheapshots guys. And when they get in his face about it he cowards away and hides behind teammates and officials.

What? who wanted Reilly and Freddy traded.

Playing a hard physical game isn’t everything. If you are a negative player in every other aspect being physical is worthless.

He came off of major surgery in the off season and was easily the Leafs best d-man late in the season when both Rielly and Muzzin were out with injury.

I think he deserves more time and the Leafs would regret just dumping him early.
