Realistically, I would venture that the chances are very small that he doesn't re-sign with St. Louis. That said, the chances are even smaller that the Leafs would be able to out-bid a team with cap space if Pietrangelo became a UFA. He is very good, his availability is unlikely IMO, Parayko might be a much more realistic target.

St Louis would definitely be the front runner. But other contenders have cap issues as well. We are likely the most desperate for a top defender.

Im also wondering if $$$ comes into play. Some teams will already be struggling with the reduced revenues. Leafs presumably will not have that problem and can offer big dollars.

The Director of National Intelligence denied that Trump was briefed but he had to withdraw from his first confirmation because he was caught padding his resume.

Trump denied he was briefed and he, well never mind.

If he wasn’t briefed, that was a dereliction of duty and nobody again stood up to Putin.
