I know what you mean. it doesn't need a bunch of marinades and special sauces, when cooked properly the meat already tastes great

Exactly. Buy quality and stop pretending. Much like my comment about people thinking they're smarter than they are, people think they're much better cooks than they actually are. Go to the highest end steak houses, it's a top quality piece of meat, seared hard on high heat with salt and pepper, maybe some butter. That's it.

well in Darksyde's case I don't think he was pretending or anything, his descriptions just sounded passionate loll... and 100% agreed on the steaks... now I feel like having BBQ tonight

yeah but I guess some runs are better than others, so maintaining a certain level of greatness is pretty nice

Agreed. I like to grill my steak with salt & fresh ground pepper and a little olive oil. Finish in a pan and baste with butter.

Bbq and grilling are different to me. Bbq is weekend stuff for brisket or pulled pork

Bbq = smoker or open pit in my world. What many call a bbq = grill. Semantics really

it's weird, I despise that stuff when I eat it by itself, but prepared in a meal it's delicious lol
