That's the bottom line reality.

Still doesn't mean I have any interest in going to eat inside a restaurant any time soon, or go to a movie, etc.

It makes sense to me.

Lost some friends to this. Other friends have lost their sense of taste and smell for a couple days that was it and they have immunodeficiencies. Who knows? Just seems to pick some people out albeit at an extremely small level. The mortality rate isn’t high but I’m in no way saying it isn’t serious at the same time. Both my wife and I work in healthcare and have been around it intimately from the onset and somehow haven’t contracted it after hundreds of exposures. Kind of is what it is at this point just get on with it.

The people were my parents, and they had driven back to the Capital Region from Florida in late April.

My father felt fine, but my stepmother had a bit of a dry throat and cough.

They thought it was either allergies or a common cold, until the only 2 people they spent time with in Florida called to say they had tested positive.

Off my parents went to get tested, and they both came back positive.

When they got tested, they were told to remain in quarantine until the results came back, and the next day the Sheriff appeared with the paperwork that advised what they could and could not do.

When the results came back positive, they got the word to quarantine for an additional 14 days.

If your point is that anybody who is a carrier who has not been tested as positive cannot be tracked, I agree. If your point is anybody who has tested positive cannot be tracked, I disagree by the experience I have described here.

I think the original point was the ability, inability to enforce by the state.

You are a numbers guy,
If there are say 20 planes daily each holding say 100 people from Florida (Miami, FT Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Tampa, Sarasota, Ft Meyers, etc) that is 2,000 people daily arriving...which is probably a low estimate considering NYC, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, NF airports.

Can the NYS Sherrif's really be able to track down that number of people? After 14 days that is 28,000 people. Seems unlikely to me, but that is just me.

My wife and I have been tested twice for antibodies both negative. I work in surgery so I always wear an N 95 in procedures since this started my wife wore one with covid positive pts only initially but for the last two months always. She still does always even though it’s no longer protocol unless it’s a covid positive patient.

It's more than unlikely. It's virtually impossible, which is why the mandate is to "self-quarantine". In other words, they put the onus on you. If they catch you, they can fine you. Most people wouldn't get caught unless they were nabbed for speeding or something. The likelihood of that is a little higher now, but back in March or April, when the police didn't even want to go near anyone unless they absolutely had to, the chances were virtually zero.

$10k fine if caught.
I cancelled my flight, was only coming back for 5 days.
I wasn't going to be quarantining to be honest...at get togethers 4 of the 5 days planned.
Oh well. Another time.

Get it all in while you still can.

I will find the actual bet in due time.

I’m amazed you haven’t disappeared already given the preliminary evidence that contradicts all the bullpoop you spewed the other day.

I really shouldn’t be surprised after all though.

Botterill obviously did not want to trade Risto, not sure having him gone and replaced by Adam's should form the basis that he is now "safe"....maybe more like "damned".

Trading 2 of Miller, Montour, Risto should be on Adam's list however.

Risto had a good season under Krueger and seems comfortable with him. If Ralph is gonna be with the team long-term, which looks to be the case, then Monty and\or Miller will likely be out. For now.

“Long term” in Pegula language... 1 season (2020/2021)... extension in 2021 (3 year). Fired by December 2021. Might make it to off season 2022....
