Saw interview with former head of medicine from Harvard talking about 60% of young (don’t remember what age bracket) asymptotic kids that are showing “ground glass opacities” in one lung and 30% in both lungs. These can have long term serious implications. I hope this is something the PA is talking to players about. - Canada Cup
I hate to say it, but with the chart above, I'm not too worried about the virus.
I've got a 1% chance of dying, and since I have no pre-existing health conditions, it's significantly lower.
I'm willing to roll the dice - but still take sensible precautions like wearing a mask in public.
And I want my darned kids out on the street, playing with other kids. |

You know she hid her servers in a DC pizza joint basement or something - I'm not really sure of the details, but there's something about a guy named Ben Gazzi and lots of people died and she was awful! |

THE FACTS: Trump is seeking credit he doesn’t deserve for black job growth. He’s also wrong to assert that Democrats haven’t done anything to improve the economic situation for African Americans.
It’s true that black unemployment did reach a record low during the Trump administration: 5.9 percent in May 2018. It currently stands at 6 percent.
But many economists view the continued economic growth since the middle of 2009, when Democratic President Barack Obama was in office, as the primary explanation for hiring. More important, there are multiple signs that the racial wealth gap is now worsening and the administration appears to have done little, if anything, to specifically address this challenge.
African Americans also had higher income prior to the Trump administration. A black household earned median income of $40,258 in 2017, the latest data available. That’s below a 2000 peak of $42,348, according to the Census Bureau.
The most dramatic drop in black unemployment came under Obama, when it fell from a recession high of 16.8 percent in March 2010 to 7.8 percent in January 2017. - Atomic Wedgie

I think that’s reasonable but with 2 caveats:
Use local numbers instead of provincial numbers, and
Understand the non lethal implications. That’s the part I’m less sure of right now. It looks like the mortality rate is coming down in North America as treatment techniques improve and the virus changes (it’s better to not actually kill the host). On the other hand, docs are still learning about the implications.
One thing they’re learning is that the immunity seems to be pretty weak and dissipates after a few months (seems to). Don’t know what that means in terms of vaccine, maybe nothing. Also the new strain that showed up in Beijing a week or so ago looked to be much more virulent. If the second wave that hits is much stronger that could be bad. |

Agreed Wedgie. I am in good shape. I don't want to tempt fate but I am not terrified of this. It is more a problem worrying about passing it on to other members of the family who are in not great shape or are older. |

Yeah, my kid is more careful about being around me than I am myself. He was at an outside bar in Kingston before moving back to Toronto and someone asked to sit with them so he waited two weeks before visiting.
I’m pretty sure he’s not just making up excuses. |

Theres was some argument on the tweeter that alfie was better than sundin.

The worrisome part for me is that we don’t know for sure what damage it might do to your internal organs. You might recover from it but it could still shorten your life by leaving you with heart and lung issues that worsen later in life. |
