Idk wtf we’d do at Center, but...
-we’d have Cozens, Zegras & Mitts all projected as top6 guys that should be NHL contributors soon
-2 of the top10 plus another 1st to make a deal,
or even draft another Center prospect if we like
-moving Sam would become more of a possibility I’d think, maybe to get a Center (could use a pick to take Sam’s replacement- Holtz? Raymond?)
-still have an extra RD & decent-ish prospects like Asplund, Tage & recent defensemen drafted to use as trade chips as well


I know we aren’t “rebuilding”
But if Jack wants out, this does give Adams a good deal for him & helps put us in a spot to really reshape the roster

So now every article I read about the front office massacre says the firings were all cost cutting measures. I sure hope you all are braced for what is next. The mission of this team is no longer to produce a Stanley Cup winner. The organization is now in full Tom Gollisano mode. No players are going to be brought in to actually improve this team. Those top tier players now on the roster will be gone as soon as deals can be put together to move them out and lighten the payroll. Any dreams you have of this player coming here or that player coming here are done..... kaput......... So prepare yourselves for another decade of Tom Gollisano hockey.......

Who would ever think that a professional athlete that has played a game all their lives would even know how to play another position. Certainly couldn’t happen in hockey and probably never has and never will. Dahlin wouldn’t have a clue how to carry the puck up the ice or pass it to a winger. Yes he is a defenceman as his first coach told him he was and told him to never let anybody tell him anything different.
How do I get out of this box?

I say double-down and bring Johnny Hockey to Buffalo. Dahlin gets that done. Gadreau looked great next to Jack on Team USA.
