We are all a little on edge with everything going on. Let's let the week finish, the way it's going there not done yet. Most GM's want to bring in there own people. Let's see what Adams does.
- Buff36

I was pretty critical of Botterill during his tenure. I felt like he never fully committed to his blueprint. That’s what a GM should do, and if it fails then well you are done. That’s why I respected Murray, he went for his team, and unfortunately it didn’t work out. Adams needs to just commit to his vision and make the moves.

CJ Smith Bryson hasn't made it in the NHL yet, Pilut was a 23 year old Swedish pro who went back and forth between the Sabres and Rochester and you can't say he "developed" in the short time there, that is a reach. Thompson was injured all of last year so I guess the training crew gets points for his development?? Asplund is debatable whether he'll make it in the NHL so we'll see and Ulmark, sure, he gets credit even though goalies work with goalie coaches but so through three years he has Ulmark and a 23 year old Olofsson who had been a pro for 5 years before that. North American players developed a big 0.
- GilPerreault11

Yes, CJ Smith, the guy who was an AHL all star in 2018.

How many prospects were given to Taylor to work with?

Mittelstadt was right to the NHL, so was Dahlin.

Ryan Johnson is in college. So is Samuelsson
Guys like Davidsson are overseas

He’s seen almost no good prospects come his way

Good Post, I just hope he's allowed to commit to his vision. With it being said that they have been grooming him for this, maybe they will finally keep there hands out of the cookie jar.

That's it, if they have been supposedly grooming Adams for this, then after the bloodshed is done, let him have the reins and let him do his job and keep your hands out of the cookie jar. Show some trust like you did with the Bill's.

I don’t think he was able to commit to his blue print.

I also think Murray was told to speed up his blue print.

I’m fully convinced it’s the owners that are the issue.

I didn't see this yesterday

@EJHradek_NHL
I’d disagree. From what seen, Greeley has been more interested in promoting himself than actually doing the work that it takes to improve the on ice product. Sexton has been a journeyman. Move on ...

#Sabres have also let go assistant GMs Randy Sexton and Steve Greeley. Have to think both will be sought after. When Greeley was hired in BUF, he was considered one of the young, up-and-comers in #NHL management circles.

Adams was running a rink and a kids hockey camp.
What is his vision?...4 lines , 3 pairings and 2 Goalies? Lol

I'll give him a chance.
Great time to learn on the job when the team has 4 forwards signed...15 roster holes...and literally no one to help him.

what a complete joke...not him; Kerry and Tim Puglia

I knew that Botts didn’t want to commit long term to Skinner. I took a lot of heat for that. Big money short term was always the right move.

The Maples coach is Sheldon Keefe. Who as early as last year was.......their AHL coach.

Lots of people feel Chris Taylor is a future NHL coach.

Your points are so bad it’s not even funny

Darcy started the suffering, and instead of continuing with a rebuild Murray traded everything and the kitchen sink to try and win know, was told to. And Botts we know what happened there. A big poop show that leads right up to the Owners.

I know it's hard to consider it, and I don't know if he can handle it, just trying to stay a little positive Ion. But he has been around the game for 25 years in different aspects, and has a lot of ex teammates and friends in high places around the league. Hopefully he is picking there ear, and maybe getting his foot in the door for some trade options.

Terry and Kim Pegula believe Kevyn Adams will be a successful general manager.

The Sabres owners know Adams will listen to them.

The second sentence may be more important than the first.

Gotta love Vogl

- Stripes77

What owner is going to hire a GM that won't listen to them?

I'm not going to bash them for that alone. There are many other reasons to bash them.

If he'd done it with Columbus, sure, but when you have Crosby and Malkin it's not rocket surgery. Hell, Bylsma has a Cup with the same guys FFS and probably the only reason he doesn't have more than one is because MAF had a meltdown in the playoffs a few times.

That’s the hilarious part of people sticking up for the house cleaning.

The biggest constant that’s been here for the last how many years of poor drafting kept his job.

He gives Botterill the keys and then says there is no communication.
