I really feel too many teams rush prospects.

Its bad for the cap, its bad for the players growth.

Imo, maybe 3 to 5 players should be in the NHL within 18 months of being drafted.

Even looking at Carolina who has a reputation of having a really smart management team.

Without getting lucky on post first rounders like Slavin, Pesce, Aho, and winning a lotto ticket for Svech, how smart are they really? And i'm not discrediting them but still

I don't think he learns anymore in Juniors, and how is it bad for the cap having a player on his ELC, could be wrong imo.

can't remember who posted a thesis that botts was against long-term deals and that he didn't want to hand jack that long of a deal...

simple fact, jack was getting max term at that price...for botts to think or hope or want otherwise is ridiculous

I would be find moving montour, that it was a bad trade at the time of the trade, and is becoming more obvious it was.

Our forwards are so weak. I want to add there, not decrease.

We actually could ice a very solid bottom 6 with Olofsson, MOJO, Kahun, Asplund, Lazar, and Larsson.

We desperately need that 2nd line center to balance the forward group out.

I wouldn't hate Haula as a stop gap for a year or two until Cozens or another prospect is ready to step in

Well, we tried Fast, North & South and couldn't break out past 25th for 3 seasons.
I suspect Slow, Old, Cheep and Physical. That way they can throw everything out the window and start over completely.

if Adams goes after Holtby, he will instantly be on my poop-can list.

As bad as people make it sound, even without a true 2C, with better goaltending this team is in the playoffs. Improvements need to be made, but they have pieces to build around. Just find those 3 or 4 pieces to fit the puzzle and this isn't as bad as people are complaining about.

Depends on the 2C.
If he plays more like Jack did 2years ago as a playmaker, for Skinner to finish then yes.
If he is more of a shoot first then no.
I like Jack taking more shots as a sniper that being more of a set-up guy...he was the best sniper in the league last year.
