No problem, it's a poop show, and Kim looks like someone kicked the poop out of her.

I can't see euros signing

I can't see any big ticket UFA's signing

best we can hope for is cast offs

- homiedclown

UFA don't move the needle much but they get overpaid a lot. When a team is winner they fill in the blanks and help but they don't build winners. Draft and trades and do that. You are welcome.

Very True, and Kevyn might have a ex teammate and friend who is working for a Arizona that is gonna be hard up with a flat cap, might be a trade option there.

Do you like to lose money? Maybe Trump does since he lost more than anyone in US history, a billion, in a decade but he isn't Asian so according to your logic if he was he wouldn't have lost a billion because he wouldn't have liked it. Genius.

Losing a billion, the most in US history in a decade, did you know Trump did that? That is going off the deep end. That is in an article with Trump's niece as the source that was in the NYT. That is some businessman. Anyway, what was that bigoted statement Asians don't like to lose money. Name me someone who does.

There are a lot of Asians in the world 4.5 billion of the world's population so being racist toward most of the world is not the most intelligent thing to be. There are less than a billion white people so learn to like your neighbors, you might need them someday.

Interesting
I don’t see that happening

If we can upgrade Hutton & get a decent 2C,
I think we could fight for 3rd

MTL isn’t good, & Price isn’t what he used to be
FLA has to cut Cap, so they’ll take a step back
The Leafs are a huge mess too, with no fix in sight

All we really need are for a couple really talented kids to contribute

Or for the PK & PP to get straightened out

Or for secondary scoring to be more consistent,
ex: Skinner

So much went wrong for us this past year
Ralph’s first

Even with the Pegulas being a mess,
there’s still a roadmap to us improving
And none of it is crazy to see happening

- jdfitz77

Still stating the rumor that "FL going to cut $10million..." as fact? This "story" came from a Toronto reporter who has no inside info on FL. Interestingly enough, it appeared a couple of days before a pivotal matchup between Leafs and FL. The Panthers were only two points behind the vaunted TML at the time, and a FL win would've put them ahead by virtue of being 3-0 vs TML for the season. Canadian media pay little to no attention to FL (except to bash them). The Panthers' poopty history leads people to eat that poop up without question. Yeah, their payroll may be significantly less next year with the Pysser's contract expiring, and one (or both) of Dadonov/Hoffman not re-signed and Tippett on an ELC making the team (Denisenko is coming over from KHL, too, but idk if he'll be ready for NHL yet). They didn't pay Q $6 million/yr and sign Bob to that crazy ass deal just to say "Fukket we're cutting back" a year later. Haven't heard a peep about it anywhere since then, have you? Btw, FL is paying ALL of their employees through the shutdown, fwiw.

I'm close.

I'll get there but here's a start.

its near the bottom of the page

funny how we were cordial and you initially proposed a glass of scotch.

and now you say it makes no sense.

post a lot and do it soon.

the end is near.

just wait.

Damn, were people way off on Reinhart too. 6 years left at $5M per would look mighty good right now.

congrats kym

Cleveland Browns?

Heck in England there is a soccer team (Coventry city) who don't even play in their own stadium, they have no home games even though they have their own stadium

Yzerman calling Adams this evening to congratulate him on GM job and talk about Eichel..
- wingz4life

Smart move by Yzerman.

Other GMs should be calling about Eichel and Dahlin. Might be able to get them for a first rounder.

Playoffs equal additional revenue

So u really wanna say the Pegulas forced Ralph to play Hutton even though he was hurt bc they wanted to lose on purpose?

Ummmmmm.... what?!

- jdfitz77

No. Trump told the Pegulas to force Ralph to play Hutton. That makes sense now.

First strong move would be to hire Judd Brackett away from the Canucks as the Sabres Director of Amateur Scouting?

Job requirements:

(1) Agree w/ anything and everything Kim says.

(2) Alienate fan base at all costs.

(3) Enable organization to ruin promising talent.

(4) Good communication skills.

Friedman on 31 Thoughts podcast: "I don't think Botterill wanted to give Jack Eichel that contract and ownership said "we're doing it". And I don't think Botterill wanted to give Jeff Skinner that deal. I think what Botterill wanted to do was offer big money for a low term”

Jason Botterill, from what I heard, is not a "term guy". He says too many teams get burned by those mistakes and I think he was overruled. I think what they're looking at right here is: There's a finite amount of time here before Eichel says "I had enough.""

thoughts for today

If Jack wants out that only tells us he wasn’t the captain and leader everyone assumed he was. He doesn’t want to leave period. Case closed

The new GM is going to find out real fast that all other GM’s are out there to steal from you if they can

Play the kids and see what they have. Stop with new signings or trades until it is known what is in the organization for real.

Ralph is a good coach that will develop the young players and the vets on the team should all be leaders

Watch out for what is considered an upgrade. The devil you know is better than the one you don’t.

The owners, the coaches and GM, the players and the fans want to win. No quick fix like a trade for Phil Kessel so relax and enjoy.

Do not hire Brian Burke in any capacity just to save some time.
