That is honestly the only tactic for successfully slowing down the nonsense. Just be mindful of when he pushes even further to get the outrage going again. Somehow it has to be ignored to prevent a continuous cycle of insanity.

I'd put huge money on the fact this is the only thing you read or watch all week that doesn't tell you exactly what you want to hear. It's like eating your vegetables. You know damn well I'm right about everything, you just don't want to admit it.

Yea, love hearing about rioting, looting, burning businesses, damaging property of business owners who were just about to re-open after surviving COVID, and taking over city blocks under the guise of peaceful protests that you say are a plus. Nothing I’ve heard all week is exactly what I want to hear. I accept bitcoin but I won’t hold my breath on getting paid.

That’s because most of the bait in the blog is political which isn’t what most of the readers come here for.

He can write whatever he’s wants here and He may get some of the keyboard warriors from Facebook and Twitter to bite but it doesn’t really attract readers who are here to talk hockey. That’s why his blogs with hot takes on analytics or roster construction do generate a fair number of comments and traffic.

People are pretty stupid if they don't realize that "Clickbait" can only occur in the title. If you find something to complain about in the text, you already clicked. I don't think comments generate any extra clicks, I think it's one-and-done.

Either way, this comments section is filled up with 4 morons who are obsessed and jealous of me. I can't blame them, I am great. I'd be jealous too. But if not for them, there'd only be 2 comments per blog, but that's fine because comments account for almost none of the traffic because only a really certain kind of person is commenting in the comments section in 2020.

This is an honest question but every time someone clicks on your blog to come to the comment section wouldn’t that count as an extra click or if a user were to repeatedly click on your blog would that only count as 1 click?

I wouldn’t say your critics are jealous or obsessed. Hockeybuzz is an online community no different than reddit in a sense. The readers of this website are hockey fans from all walks of life so it’s no surprise that some of the people here have different opinions to any controversial topics you write about. You would likely have just as many critics if you wrote right wing opinionated blogs.

As far as a certain kind of person commenting in the comments I agree with you when it comes to platforms such as Facebook, instagram and Twitter as that has your actual information along with family and friends to see what you post but hockey buzz like reddit, is an anonymous community designed to generate discussion among those with a common interests. In fact these are the only two websites I do comment on posts for that very reason

Wendy’s are mostly franchised locations. You’re not “stickin it to the man” by burning them. You’re taking away a business who employs locally.

People don’t drive great distances to work at Wendy’s. You’re screwing over who works there - often students trying to work through school, elderly people who need added income or can’t retire yet. People getting second shots in life to avoid recidivism. Single parents who need a second job. Handicapped folks who’s job prospects are limited.

That is who you are hurting. The restaurant is insured. The owner is inconvenienced, but really still taken care of. But the employees?

Congrats. Now you just have that many more people in the local area looking for work. That doesn’t HELP black lives! It doesn’t make a statement about the police force treating people savagely. It makes it more difficult for people in the neighborhood. You’re cutting off your nose to spite your face!

Who is affected most at the loss of these businesses besides potentially the people who worked their butt off to start them? The low income people obviously . So is the strategy to make poor people more poor in hopes they become less poor? And somehow how that in turn will lead to less interactions with police? That's how dumb and uneducated you are.

My message to the right-wingers bent out of shape over wearing masks is to look at it this way - masks impede facial recognition technology. So, it wearing one makes it harder for Big Brother to track you with his every-present network of face-scanning cameras.

Yes, because the only people who work at local Wendy's locations are well-off white privileged businessmen. Most of the people who work at a local Wendy's are either high school/college kids trying to earn some income, single parents who need an extra source of income, and elderly people who need extra income. If the franchise is located in a low-income community, the people you are hurting are the people from that community, which will only make matters worse. Good thinking Jim.
