maybe if a few of his team mates would have checked on him, when laying on the ice from a cheap shot, he would still be here

antipin lead his team in score for d men last 2 years in khl

if used right, he is a puck over and a point producer

kind of like pilut

of course we can't move the puck and score

- homiedclown

Pretty much was the same argument with antipin--one group said he needed more of a chance pointing to numbers while others felt he didn't move the needle

Do you personally feel like baiting and killing bear cubs is ok with you?

Looks like the last Administration just wanted to impose its' will rather than consult with those who depend on it. Typical of the Left leadership though.

we all know how florida went in 2000 election

2008, and 12 went for obama, pretty easy for a close state

trump didn't win by much, probably moving the convention to jacksonville florida to try to get a bump

They are both fringe NHL's and #3 LD's pretty much grow on trees. If he doesn't want to stay and fight for an NHL job, no big deal.

Local rink is starting stick time this week. I hope our beer league is close behind.
We got two games into the season.

You kids got any rinks going out there?

Their short tenures may have gone in the same direction for one reason or another, but they aren't remotely close as players.

Prior to coming over, Antipin's numbers suggested #7 D upside at best based on KHL results in the various NHLe models out there (the one that tries to give a broad projection of what a players scoring in one league would look like in another).

Pilut is younger, had a stronger NHLe while playing in sweden but more importantly, showed signs of having the ability to raise his game another gear once he came over. The fact that he managed to put up good numbers with Ristolainen for any extended period of time is encouraging.

It's entirely possible that he was going to be nothing more than a 3rd pair D, it's also possible he could've been something more. The fact that they weren't willing to take a risk and find out just so they could keep Zach Bogosian happy is a big deal.

Not panic button big, but not insignificant either.

You're also correct in saying that 3D's are everywhere, but in classic Sabres tradition, they're likely going to replace pilut with a 3LD that costs way more and gives them way less. It's the sort of move that, if it happens enough times over enough years, has you wondering where all your cap space went when you're 9th last in the NHL.

United States lifts ban on "barbaric" hunting practices against bears, such as grease baiting, strobe lights, and cub slaughter, to appease the degenerate lusts of Donald Trump's son's

Great: cub slaughter is legal again.

- Boss34

"Slaughter" seems like a word meant to play on the emotions and fuel the Evil Trump narrative. This law sounds like it's meant to allow the state to decide the rules in their territory, allowing the indigenous peoples to survive off the land as their ancestors did. Indigenous people don't run around "slaughtering" any creatures (like how Buffalo Bill got his name). They respect their food sources and only take what they need for their survival, they are not the same as disgusting trophy hunters.

Ion was on to something.... "The previous rule was implemented without adequate tribal consultation, in disregard to rural Alaska's dependence on wild food resources," stated Victor Joseph, Chief and Chairman of the Tanana Chiefs Conference, which represents 42 tribes. "The previous limitations enacted in 2015 threatened our way of life and our centuries-long sustainable management practices."

Truth be told, I detest the left...farther to the left the worse they are.
I don't respect those who are inconsistent in their thoughts because of another's last name...it's fine not to like the person, but if someone else is doing the same relative thing, then don't respect them either. Pretty cut and dry.
I don't believe in imposing my will on others, but I do want the freedom to do my own thing unless it hurts someone else.
I believe alot of the issues we face today is the result of failed liberal policies, virtual social tests that outlived their usefulness.
I believe in doing yourself what you ask of others, rather than being hypocritical.

I like Trump's policies, especially fiscally and foreign.
I do not like him, and further wish he would shut up 99% of the time.
I like his combativness, especially with the 'media", who has an agenda...left, right whatever.
Neither party represents me, but the Demo's do drive me crazy with their hypocracy ... 15 years ago the same leadership was pleading for a wall and border control..now, you are a xenophobic racist asshat if you utter the words.

Personally, I like the Libertarian platform the most...not perfect but pretty good for me.
Too bad they have no one to take a lead position who has an once of credibility.

Clear?

Edit: I should add, most liberals start off a discussion ok, then when they feel they can't convince you on their positions they attack, call you names meant to get you emotionally charged, talk down to you, and disregard facts as inconveniences.
My experience.

What was that 'extended period'? 10 games? I'm tired of hearing about it. The league adjusted to him quickly and he never came close to replicating it.

If they pay to bring in an LD, and he doesn't bump McCabe down, that would be very disappointing. Even more so if it's multi-year.

24 games, 218.8 minutes last year

He's so obviously a prototypical modern day d-man, but Krueger put the clock in reverse with his gameplan. That's why McCabe's numbers look like he's the new Hjalmarsson.

Depends, if they plan on playing the same way next year, you're better off keeping.

They shouldn't be, considering their best players all fit a more up tempo style, but if they do McCabe fits that style well.

Something has to off there. 218 minutes with Risto can't be 24 games.

If Homie's info is accurate, seems like more boring-ass style of play they lost with very effectively last year.

Homie - no 5 year deal for Frolik?

If they really insist on playing that way they'd need to move on from quite a few RFA's and skaters under contract.

The opposite is more manageable for 1 off season.

You didn't mention 5v5, but it's still way too low. Risto averaged 19:27 at even strength.
