Anytime boss. I try not commenting much on police tactics on internet. People like Gerbe froth at the mouth to take it out of context to get people in trouble. Will send his dads lawyers on me

Well I think they would have had atleast 10 more when the season ended.

I can see 5 pts but not 10 when season was put on hold

That site you shared is hardly reliable, and there is virtually zero chance they're going after Jones from San Jose.

They'll look to upgrade their goaltending, but not with the nonsense that is Jones.

There's a better chance they go after Dell as a UFA.

- kingcong39

Common sense. Jones has been terrible the past 2 seasons, he is going to turn 31 at the start of next season, and he has 4 years left on his deal at nearly $6M per.

What part of any of that makes sense as a player the Sabres would and should target?

It's a tabloid world. Sensationalism has always sold but it's gotten worse lately and social media is the proverbial gasoline on the fire. Imo, finding truth takes work, open-mindedness and time, none of which seem to be in vogue these days.

That movie was made in 1976, it was already a problem then, and they nailed it.

Could be, but over a 13 game stretch Hutton got 5pts out of 26. Not all on him but he had some really bad games in that stretch, say he just split that 26 pts, there's 8pts right there. And then he lost 4 in a row at the end, again not all on him but what about 2 or 3 pts out of the possible 8pts. There's your 10pts right there.

I can see that. A plus 8-10 pts in those 13 games. Moving forward for Buffalo, i think this offseason is a make or break. Good decisions on signings, hitting homeruns on draft picks this yr and Cozens/Mitts able to make next step. If not, when is the right time to trade Jack(i personally wouldnt but looking back at the Bruins with Joe), it's something that may need to be considered.

Thoughts?

Worst GM in league. No idea how he has a job. Ruined this team for years with some of his moves

Botts needs to flip the script, and with the cap staying flat and a few pieces he can use in some moves, he should be able to add to the roster. There are gonna be teams hurting cap wise, hopefully Botts can take advantage of that, and he definitely needs to improve the goaltending, and should be able to add a decent FA or 2. And not even thinking about moving Eichel, you would never get enough for him in my opinion. I would move Dahlin before I moved Jack.

Never heard of this guy, right on some things, see how the script is written after this off-season.

The only trade i would do is the Eric Lindros type deal for Jack, but i still think you get more for Jack than you do for Dahlin. It doesnt seem that the Sabres have a good prospect pool, but i could be wrong.
The tough part in signing fa's is overpaying just to have them come (not something i would do if i was gm).
Seems like Buffalo has the bad stigma of being like the Cleveland Browns. Draft, ruin careers, rinse and repeat. Its unfortunate tbh.

Why keep depressing yourself on things written about Botts. He's here and nothing can be done about it, let's hope he had this big plan all along and rewrites the script for the Sabres this off-season.

Jack sells tickets. Dahlin eventually, but it's not the same.

Well write know they have the 9th ranked prospect pool, unfortunately for the Sabres most of them are still a few years away, and you just never know with these kids. Gotta hit on this draft, hope for a few good trades and cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Well yeah you get more for Jack, wouldn't trade either one, but if I absolutely had to pick it would be Dahlin.

Says who, aside from the people saying so? Hehe.

I assume the reason why people don't out their sources is because then the sources would stop telling people things.

We now know Hutton has vision problems, it makes sense to replace him.

sabres staff knew he had vision problem, yet kept him on the roster and played him

The time for loading up on prospects is over. This team needs to get older, not younger.

The roster needs to grow with Eichel if the Sabres want to keep him from quitting on the plan, and they're already behind the curve.

Three "win now" vets would do the trick. Imagine if these guys woulda had ORiley, E. Kane and Lehner in fold this year... They'd prob been a nice sleeper in the playoffs.

Maybe, it's to bad 2 of them didn't want to be here anymore and the other was forced out by the owners. And don't need to get older, just need more good hockey players.

I'd move our 1st rounder this year for a 2c.

Maybe add risto , montour or sam for combination of 2c and goaltender.

Arizona seems like kuemper or raanta could be a good upgrade for hutton.

What would they cost?

- Boss34

Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to sign Ullmark as number one for 2.5 to 3 mil then bring in a backup for 4 to 5 mil

The statement in bold doesn't make sense.

Also, the player the Sabres are going after from the Sharks is Hertl, and they may be willing to move this year's 1st round pick.

I sincerely hope they do NOT do that for Hertl.

- kingcong39

It’s Hutton, Risto and Cozens for Jones and Hertl
