skinner waived

anything is possible

time for terry and kim to back up their money is no longer an issue words

- homiedclown

Skinner waived knowing he was gonna sign a mega deal if of eichels talents. Prime of his career. Here or elsewhere.

I'm not sure if we need to hold terry to his statement of 9 years ago? Things change over time. Oil and sports teams are on the decline.

People lie, but this statement needs to be held as the bible's truth?

that statement was his signature moment when he bought the sabres

with what has leaked out over the years, and what has happened, clearly has not happened so far

and that's one of the reasons I keep my expectations in check...we know eichel and dahlin are untouchable, do the sabres have players that a.) those teams would want and b.) buffalo is willing to give up?

for instance, would buffalo give up this year's first, cozens and Borgen for either?...would the kings or pens feel that was enough?

- Michael Pachla

what is the market for an all star center in his early 30's?

that is the question

clearly much less then an eichel

How often does this happen in the nhl?

Mike was worried about adding 4 million.

7 would be a difficult task, especially with all the free agents due $ this season

They paid big errhoff $
Ville got paid big $
Myers got big $
They paid ror big $
Eichel and skinner got big $
They have paid coaches and gms to not work

They backed the statement.

Times change.

Wonder if kym was on the phone for the skinner contract talks?

1. Probably should have been
2. Probably shouldn't have been

Kopitar is great.
Paying $10m for 4 more years when he will be 33 -1/3 yo when the next season starts for 65sh points (4 yr avg, includes a 92 pt season) I don't believe is a wise investment on top of a presumptively stiff acquisition cost.

Malkin's slightly higher avg production, slightly lower Avv, and only 2 years remaining would make it better.

So the Sabres and Sharks are discussing a trade...

Apparently the Sabres are trying to scoop up M. Jones... but the guy they really need is T. Hertl.

Sooo... What for M. Jones and T.Hertl?

SJ needs dmen to offset the big money they are already paying on the blue line.

The statement in bold doesn't make sense.

Also, the player the Sabres are going after from the Sharks is Hertl, and they may be willing to move this year's 1st round pick.

I sincerely hope they do NOT do that for Hertl.

Buffalo wants Hertl and may be willing to include the 2020 1st as part of the deal (YUCK).

It was shared that Buffalo is looking to get Tuch from Vegas, and they've long had interest in Anderson from the Blue Jackets.

Just had a mandatory, pre-surgery Covid-19 test at Sisters Hospital parking lot. That was "fun". Took about a second per nostril, but it felt like I just snorted hot sauce or horseradish. Wasn't a stabbing your brain sensation, but more like eating wasabi. Not too bad !

Thanks, 39!

Hmm. Hertl? Isn't he the one with the knee injury history?

Drunken sailor = regular yacht

Fiscally sound sailor = super yacht

The ror bonus could have brought back a better return, aside from that, am I missing some cheapness?

Hmm.

He had a HELLUVA year, the year before last.

That is a lot to give up for a guy that'll probably walk (after all, we're the Buffalo Sabres)

He's a big hell no for me if it costs anything substantial.

If they're trading for a quality center that will cost quality assets going the other way, I want a player with at least 3 years left on his deal, or multiple years of control.

He has actually had 3 knee injuries
2014 and 2016bto the right knee.
202p to the left

I thought all 3 were to the same knee, local SJ paper reported as I stated above

Sabres are trying to trade for M.Jones but don't want to give up Risto in the deal.
