I never said it wasn't a real concern...but it was massively overblown in some cases. What I find funny is that many posters here claim to believe the 'real scientists' over alternatives to the narratives pitched here...but when those 'real scientists' post something that goes against the narrative in here..they're wrong. The upside is that there's some great looking kids in the top part of the draft and I believe we'd get a shot at one of them - then Benning can "redeem" himself with a great pick!

Without knowing what may transpire, as a result of this shutdown, I wouldnt be making rash decisions.
This is an opinion based on things being normal and players getting 6, 7 and 8 million dollar contracts.
I can see players taking 1 or 2 year deals hoping to cash in when things maybe/if things get back to the old normal.
I can easily see Jake and Gaudette taking 1 year deals and Tanev as well.
I do agree, losing Tanev will be a big hole to fill.
