Just rewatched bits of Monterey Pop last night. Performances by Jimi, Janis and Otis were astounding. I’ve never seen anyone pour her heart out more during a song than Janis Joplin. I don’t see how she could have lived long; she just seemed too fragile.

I think it's pretty clear Dubas wants Nick to be exposed to the big club as much as possible during this playoff run. Per next season, expectations are high for this kid and I'm thinking the last thing they want for him is to spend another year in junior. The only other option for him would be the NHL if they don't want him back with the Petes.

Per this season, with the OHL closing up shop, this gives a very unique opportunity for a young player to be a part of a playoff squad.

I think he easily replaces Denis Malgin on the roster but he sits in the box for the run. The only way I see him lacing them up is if the Leafs are down 0-2 in the play-in round or 0-3 in Round 1 (assuming we make it that far).

George Floyd held a woman at gun point and did jail time for armed robbery. The day he died, he had meth and fentanyl in his system. You can literally see what appears to be a small bag of white powder fall out of his pocket as he's being arrested. He did not deserve to die at the hands of the cop and without a doubt deserves justice for what was done to him but you'd have to be insane to consider him a hero or a good person.
