I have two friends who are police officers (1 retired). There is no question racism exists on the police force, but it is a symptom of a greater problem. Racism in society as a whole causes poverty and the lack of hope, and often substance abuse and crime. This perpetuates itself generation after generation in these communities.
I don't know what the answer is, but I am pretty sure that throwing money at them is not it. I think change will happen, but the wheels turn damn slowly.
Look at the changes that have happened in our lifetime. We have a long way to go, but there is a big difference between today and 45 years ago. - Aetherial
Actually there was a major Harvard study that showed the negative effects of police shootings of black Americans on the entire community.

Cops are fu3ked and need to be trained better.
But before that training, there are 5 white twats in here that should get pulled over this afternoon on their way to their fu3king klan rally...you're at the very top of that list. - underhill14
And you know this how? You realize Rasmussen's latest poll found 40% support amongst blacks for Trump...

Even given the benefit of the doubt about Trump, and supposing all the negativity can be sloughed off as a left wing conspiracy...
Everything he has done on the world stage, has A) Undermined any moral high ground the US once had. B) Turned NATO into more of a shambles than it ever was before. C) Emboldened dictators and populist demagogues the world over. D) Made the once most powerful nation on earth into a laughing stock. E) Brought all the racists, far right wannabes, and anyone with an axe to grind out of the woodwork, and F) Seriously weakened the relatively peaceful establishment that has held since the end of WW2.
Though the rot has been setting in for a while now, there's no denying all the above have become far worse in the last 3-4 years. So even if Trump really has been doing his best, and meant well (which, if you listen to what comes out of his mouth, is a bit of an absurd position), the fact remains, that as a WORLD leader, he is a complete and utter incompetent failure.
That's why most of his supporters are ridiculed for their positions. One just has to look at the results to realize he isn't fit for the job. - oldstyle
A) Undermined any moral high ground the US once had.
A.He's leading the USA out of corrupt globalist institutes that don't benefit the American people
B) Turned NATO into more of a shambles than it ever was before.
A.NATO was a sclerotic useless organization with members who weren't even keeping their hardware from gathering rust. He's forced member states to ante up and buy new equipment and maintain existing capabilities.
C) Emboldened dictators and populist demagogues the world over.
A. He's brought peace and reduced the threat of nuclear conflict on the Korean peninsula, signed peace deal with the Taliban, removed USA troops from Syria, closed bases across the middle east, pulled equipment from Saudi Arabia.
D) Made the once most powerful nation on earth into a laughing stock.
A.USA more powerful now than ever and no one takes advantage of the USA in trade deals anymore especially countries with a moral preening peacock hypocrite of a leader.
E) Brought all the racists, far right wannabes, and anyone with an axe to grind out of the woodwork, and
A. Exposed the inherent racism and bigotry against whites across the board in an effort to have greater equality and honest conversation around race relations.
F) Seriously weakened the relatively peaceful establishment that has held since the end of WW2.
A. Removed the USA to the extent possible from acting as the world's policeman, who gets no compensation and all the headaches.

And it all evolved out of the cotton industry and slavery: the power of the factory owner, the modern financial markets that the 1%, all of it. It's worth reading. - Canada Cup
Plenty of poor whites worked the cotton fields. Don't pretend it's only one race that was poor and couldn't put two nickles together...

When I was reading the comments (Canucks thread) last week, they were talking about Krapstain getting banned for posting racist comments. There’s hope. - Steven_Seagull
Flying Rat, I was reinstated soon enough. The ban was b.s.... And the mod threw his hands up and left the next day...
