It's certainly possible. It could be a mix of white supremacists, agent provacateurs, and radical anarchists. Who the hell knows?

In a large crowd, all it takes is one bad actor - on either side of the equation - to actively want to incite violence for the whole damn thing to blow up.

2020 can kindly go (frank) itself.

- mjones242

It's a big mix of people and their intentions aren't all shared. This is why peaceful protests are much more effective when they're organized and unified. The poop that's happening now is chaos.

Cops are definitely pulling tricks of their own to contain people and weed out poop disturbers. They leave old cop cars out as bait for people to burn. They have their tricks and (frank) ups in controlling the crowds too.

There's video of a small white packet falling out of his back pocket while he was sitting down with handcuffs on. The toxicology report also showed he had meth and fentanyl in his system.

All that being said, absolutely not a justification for how the police acted but this is why there is a trial; to see the entire story of what happened and how they can improve on it.

Yeah things have improved so much since Rodney King, huh.

Lilgreen looks like he will be a nhl player to me. He’s taking longer, but could end up a Stralman type that takes time to develop. I’d take him on the Nucks.

Isn’t it a good thing that the Leafs aren’t rushing their young D anymore? Seems like they did that for decades with poor results. Case in point, good Saskatchewan boy Luke Schenn who had Captain and HOF written all over him, wasted by Blowhard Burke and co.

Yes, it is both sides. You'd have to be willfully ignorant not to see it.

The liberal media demonized people for protesting during the pandemic. Not a word from them demonizing people for protesting now.

The cause of the protest isn't the point. One being more or less justified than the other isn't the point. The fact that they will demonize people they disagree with but apologize for the people they agree with is the point.

- JohnFergusonJr

Please provide some "fair and balanced" media criticism of right wing media while you're at it. You know, the spirit of 'both sides' and all that?

Considering you don't have a full view of the entire situation, that's a judgement you can't make and an example of you apologizing for vigilante justice.

If his intent was to hurt others, then I'd be ok with a group of people taking him down. I think the majority of people there probably couldn't tell you why some dude showed up with a bow and arrow.

I don't really have to because there's already plenty of that coming from people like you with the constant hatred of certain individuals but the right wingers are defending police brutality in some cases. They're also saying legit protestors are rioters the same way that lefties will be calling rioters protestors. They both have agendas as corporate media.

There are two sides to every story. He could argue he yelled something everybody disagreed with and had the bow to defend himself. People could have backed away and called the police over. Instead they beat the poop out of him, flipped his car and lit it on fire. That's vigilante justice. That's mob rule. That's not what society is built on.

Don’t bother, dude...

UGtard is in favour of beating, gassing, and even attempted murder of protesters because it doesn’t believe in what they’re protesting - police brutality and institutional racism. It is a heartless, evil bastard.

Most of you apparently missed the fact that this Floyd guy (had robbed a woman at gun point in her own house, so let's not pretend he was some sort of baby Jesus) and the dirty violent cop knew eachother since they worked together.

Surely racism is in the mix, but very likely these guys had a beef with each other and things escalated for other reasons.

The fact that police officers aren't screened properly and that they are allowed to have 2nd jobs in security shows how (frank)ed up a country really is.

This. Truck drivers are legally obligated to report if they have second jobs and adjust hours worked accordingly because of the inherit safety risk. Cops don't for some wild reason?

Police unions.

Unions can be useful sometimes for workers rights but they can also protect bad employees. If you protect a bad employee at Wal-Mart, there's rarely any consequences. Protecting a bad cop however, that's usually a recipe for disaster.

Considering how little some cops can make, the police union probably won them that right to have second security jobs on the side even though they probably shouldn't be able to have them in some cases.

It's a complicated issue.
