I legit had no idea Trump had even addressed the George Floyd situation until I read an article in The Guardian (shocking, I know) that made a reference to it.

I'm no defender of Trump, and I think he should be doing everything he can to get the message out, but it's kind of (franked) that the MSM has buried his speech.

The media - on both sides - are stoking the flames and it's (frank)ing disgusting. Every single, miniscule detail is being over-analysed and/or deliberately taken out of context to push an agenda. I'm done with the MSM. I'm done with the conspiracy theories, the 24/7 outrage cycle, and partisan rhetoric.

Here's hoping Elon Musk can get us off this planet sooner rather than later!

Having said that, his "looting and shooting" tweet was maybe the worst of all possible worlds choice of words. Pretty (frank)ing inexcusable. As if there wasn't an infinite number of ways he could have navigated and articulated the frustration directed towards rioters and looters whilst making it clear that the protesters are NOT the same people.

Ugh.

Most of you apparently missed the fact that this Floyd guy (had robbed a woman at gun point in her own house, so let's not pretend he was some sort of baby Jesus) and the dirty violent cop knew eachother since they worked together.

Surely racism is in the mix, but very likely these guys had a beef with each other and things escalated for other reasons.

The fact that police officers aren't screened properly and that they are allowed to have 2nd jobs in security shows how (frank)ed up a country really is.

No, it's not bullpoop. There's plenty of media outlets on both sides picking and choosing what they show, how they frame things and they all have a dog in the fight.

It's certainly possible. It could be a mix of white supremacists, agent provacateurs, and radical anarchists. Who the hell knows?

In a large crowd, all it takes is one bad actor - on either side of the equation - to actively want to incite violence for the whole damn thing to blow up.

Yes, it is both sides. You'd have to be willfully ignorant not to see it.

The liberal media demonized people for protesting during the pandemic. Not a word from them demonizing people for protesting now.

The cause of the protest isn't the point. One being more or less justified than the other isn't the point. The fact that they will demonize people they disagree with but apologize for the people they agree with is the point.

There's video of a small white packet falling out of his back pocket while he was sitting down with handcuffs on. The toxicology report also showed he had meth and fentanyl in his system.

All that being said, absolutely not a justification for how the police acted but this is why there is a trial; to see the entire story of what happened and how they can improve on it.
