While Tim Pool is showing things with evidence and he actually understands how ANTIFA works because he's been at these type of protests and riots for the past decade. Escape your echo chamber.

Does that account have anything on David Dorn? Ya, probably not.

Drugs in his system will probably be relevant (note: I'm not a lawyer) as it a) can have an affect on his heart and respiratory system; and b) the cops' lawyers will point to it and say the victim was acting erratically/violently.

A jury acquitted the cops in the Rodney King case.

Assume the worst, and then try to work your way up from there.

Sigh.

So, like my philosophy about being a Leafs fan. Predict the worst, or most stupid, thing that could happen and you will be right most of the time.

Leafs are up 5-0 with 2 minutes left in Game 3 of the Best of 5 against the Jackets. Leafs lead the “series” 2-0.

Jackets win 3-2.

ANTIFA is intentionally subversive. If you haven't already read the handbook to become a follower, maybe learn how they operate.

You don't have a clue how defense attorneys work do you? Maybe a Vox or Salon opinion article will explain it to you.
- JohnFergusonJr

Actually I just discussed this case with my wife who has successfully prosecuted people on second degree murder charges. She’s pretty sure she could get a conviction pretty easily based on the evidence she’s seen. Also my dad and his dad were defence lawyers who both tried numerous murder cases and my dad had a client hung. My father-in-law was a lawyer and my son just finished law school. I have lots of people to talk to about legal issues, often even when I don’t want to talk about legal issues.

What did you say your information sources were?

BTW, my wife acknowledges, as I did earlier, that there may be differences in Minnesota law that are relevant.

Funny thing about Canadian lawyers, is that they aren't American lawyers.

Funny thing about lawyers. They know more about the law than pretend know-it-all’s on hockey sites. I acknowledged that there are differences but the core elements o law remain the same.

You didn’t mention your information sources.

American trial history with cops.

You know, the same system you would probably call systematically racist yet are blindly optimistic about at the same time? Serious cognitive dissonance.

Is that a t.v. show? A course? You’ve sat in on trials? Participated in trials? Cops on trial? The are clearly depths to you that none of us have ever guessed.

Outcome of trial is not a slam dunk but your suggestions to dismiss it by the normal “black dude was bad” strategy were weak.

Keep in mind, Ellison is a political guy who made both a criminal and a political decision to proceed. He took his time and drew a lot of heat for doing so. That suggests he was being careful before deciding to proceed.

I think this was covered in episode 6 of “American Trial History with Cops”

Thanks for the tip. Can you give more details in terms of when to do this and how often? It looks like this year is a wash, the entire thing is covered in them and 90% of the leaves are see-thru with tiny holes.

Leafs training camp being held in Buffalo likely points to Toronto not being a Hub city. Makes sense to have it in Edmonton where there are less Covid cases and yahoo’s.

I hope Edmonton gets to be a hub city because they'll probably make the best ice but it might not happen because the federal government would have to make it easier for all those people to enter the country.

This case will get a ton of a attention. Can you picture the uprise if he gets off easy? I think for that fact alone it will be easier to convict him on higher charges to appease people.

Hell the judge will be getting death threats for the rest of his life if he gets off easy.
