no media ever cared about Lehtonen - he might make the NHL team, but that's not even sure.
He's this year's Jordan Schmaltz.

What a load of hoursepoop. The night before Dubas signed him there were reports he signed with the Habs and their fans were bustinga nut.

Leafs fans were penceling in Jordan Schmaltz on the 2nd pair RHD as well right after Leafs traded for him.[/img]

I am quite sure he explicitly said he wasn't a Trump 'supporter'.

Pointing out that Joe Biden is very likely as bad / worse than Trump (for the US citizens and US as a country), doesn't directly make him a Trump supporter.

I like it better when you two are fighting. How was the make up sex?

are you in the US or in Canada?
you seem to take this very personal.

- MaximusAurelius

When democracy is being torn down by a dictatorship and innocent people are being killed/attacked and the media is attacked by state police similar to what has taking place in 2nd/3rd world countries.
Then yes its a concern.

there are 100s of things happening every day around the world that objectively warrant more outrage than the day to day string of failures of donald trump.
great to be 'human' here but how come indifferent to lots of these other unjust situations?
there are lots of people that explicitly want to be seen as anti-trump to be seen as 'part of the core group that is against them'.
one has to wonder whether there are really any sane people that feel trump is doing a great job - so that's why I was asking the question.

- MaximusAurelius

You’re right there are. Killing of civilians in Yemen, Ebola, starvation, all worse and all deserve our attention.

Somebody just said being a Canadian is like living above a meth lab so what happens in the US matters to us and matters internationally. There have been hundreds of black killings before George Floyd. His was captured visually and harder to turn away from and has generated more reaction from Americans and internationally.

Maybe I’m overly sensitive but the idea of the most powerful country in the world turning its military on its own citizens is chilling as (frank). Add that to the undermining of the justice system, ongoing systemic racism, hardened economic inequality, the efficient destruction of the climate and I’d say this counts more than the day to day string of Trump failures.

I’ve also lived in the States and love lots of aspects of the country. I won’t go there and feel bad about that. But anybody who is at all sentient and ignores or downplays the issues there needs to spend some time thinking about their values.

I agree this is a big concern.
How is it a recent concern though?
US national and foreign policy has been exactly like that during the last 30+ years - not just the last 4 years.

Don't you think it's a bit naive to be surprised that a State would treat its own citizens like that, while bombing small children in other countries?

No, there are not, because here's a news flash for you:

He's not doing a good job.

From managing the corona virus (terrible), to irresponsible tax cuts that ballooned the deficit and debt, to widening the gap between rich and poor, to being gullible and weak on the world stage, leading to emboldening dictators from China to Russia to Israel doing whatever in the hell they want without reprisal, he's been a franking disaster.

And that's before I even get into the touchy-feely stuff, for which he as been an airplane carrying a flaming dumpster crashing into a train during a Sharknado storm.

He's the worst president in US history. He adopted a growing economy and slowed the rate of growth, while fueling it with irresponsible tax cuts.

How's that?

UG actually lectured someone else about false equivalency yesterday. This guy is the king of false equivalency, along with Vlad Max.
