We will get a good player in that range, yes. But the right player for our team? Take Stutzle (LW) for example, excellent skater, excellent playmaker, with an OK shot. I would pass on him and take Holtz(RW) who is a good skater, good playmaker, but best shot in the draft. So it does matter where we pick so we can pick a great prospect AND fills a need/position. Again, we will be happy with whoever we get there, but some might be BPA and fill a need, which would be a bonus. And I just compared those two, you can make similar arguments among others.. Trust me, if we picked Stutzle I would be happy also. - redmonsters
Man i would love Holtz, thats my top target if we dont move up into the top 3, if not him then i want Rossi. But im going to be thrilled with anybody in that range, so i wont complain unless we go off the board for some reason |

Just praying there is no such thing as "going off the board" for that pick...I keep seeing the Devs connected to Askarov, and I just don't think he is the pick for the Devs this year. |

Yeah i would only even consider taking Askarov if he's on the board for the Canucks pick if we get it, but i dont want any part of him with ours or the Yotes pick. Way too much talent still on the board, especially in this class, to pass up on for a goalie you likely wont even see come to NA for atleast 4-5 years |

There are definitely a lot of filler on that list.
I'm optimistic on Foote when he's ready and hopeful on Kuokanen and Markley. Clarke has a great shot and potential but I read he has issues in his game. Mostly defensively...
Ty Smith seems LEGIT and NHL ready. I'm optimistic on Bahl; but beyond that the D is a mess with little in the pipeline.
Realistically we heard about a lot guys going into this season too and the only players who really seemed to really break in this year was Blackwood and maybe Joey Anderson. He could stick as a bottom 6 player and I think with Coleman gone, he brings a bit of that style game. |

But realistically we heard about a lot guys going into this season and the only players who really seemed to break in this year was obviously McKenzie Blackwood and maybe Joey Anderson. Anderson doesn't get a lot of attention but he produced pretty well in the AHL and seems like he could stick as a bottom 6 player. - Queenie_5_hole
What’s the word on zetterlund? I remember people being high on him. |

IDK what to make of him. His production in the AHL was 8 goals and 11 assists for 19 points in 46 games. Seems like a talented kid but another 'who knows if he'll make the NHL' type player.
I'd like to think the up and coming talent will get some chances to play over guys like Rooney and Hayden under the new regime. |
