the only solution w/o violence IMO is to have curfew at 8pm, and enforce it

all these protests are peaceful during the day, and they have every right for peaceful protest

Poverty is the root cause of violence and crime, and black people face higher levels of poverty. Making a difference in economic inequality is the way out of this. How to do that? Nope. Blacks are 13% of the population but commit 51% of murders and violent crime in America. When you go by violent crime (calls that are more likely to be met with use of force) they are actually under represented in police killings.

Here's an academic study that shows risk of being killed broken down by race. If you want to attribute that to violent crime percentage, i can understand that argument to some degree. But that doesn't factor in the underlying economic disparity that leads to violence. These issues are inextricably linked. Poverty, race, violence and incarceration. Thats the point I was trying to articulate to Homie.

There's broad anger about inequality in this country. This issue is a symptom of that anger
