Would love to add Eichel, he's only getting better. However, the cost to acquire him and his cap hit are big no's
- NewYorkNuck

100%...the cost to acquire such a talented young player would be prohibitive to a still building team (Canucks), a veteran team who’s drafted well and has a good prospect pool is the place for him.

The Canucks prospect pool, although good, isn’t deep as their best young players already play at the NHL level. Sabres would most likely want a good young NHL center or a very good center prospect, which the Canucks don’t have.

Nor do we really need him, what does he bring that we don't already have (and for far less money/hassle)

I think it would cost you Bo Jake and Boeser which would offset the cap and you have two very young skilled players on ELC. The problem is justifying the cap hit to the rest of the team.

That doesn’t make the team better so why do it if that’s the cost? I don’t think it would cost that much, but who knows.

As just mentioned Bo is a good second line center now and Pettersson is on his way to a good first line center, with Gaudette at third line centre we don’t really need Jack Eichel.

Plus, while the cap may work out to be even, you're going to have to replace the points those three guys put up with two other players, which would cost money. Eichel put up 78 points, while Boeser (45), Horvat (53) and JV (36) put up 134 points for the similar $ amount.

Would love to have him, just don't see it happening.

I am not saying go after him but he is one of the best centers in the league and I think any team adding him won't get hurt. He is a hell of a player. He controls the game when he is on the ice.

true one of the best players in the league 100% I've just heard he's quite the Cancer in the room. Now here that might be different as the club is turning the corner to a winning atmosphere hard to say. Would be interesting however. Maybe ask the GM's here how the cap would work...

Easy, Lui will retire, Sutter will be traded for a 1st round pick, Beagle will do all three jobs on the 4th line, Myers and Edler will play 40min a night, along with Hughes, so they only need 4 dmen. Sven will be traded for a 2nd, Luongo will un-retire wiling our the recapture, Hughes and Pettersson will sign team friendly bridge deals, as will Jake and Adam.

Not a challenge at all. I’m sure it was one of your 93mph wrist shot buddies who told you about how Jack is a locker room cancer, because they played with him back in the day...

I love those locker room cancer stories
Dougie Hamilton, Evander Kane, ROR . I am sure there are more .

More than likely not going to happen so I won't spend a lot of time on it .

He is a much better play maker than Bo and would be an excellent choice for Podkolzen and Pearson . He is also very good at faceoffs and the puck is usually in the other teams end.

I think Jim should kick tires as well as every other GM . Water cooler talk, not much more.

Haha... I get a kick out of how excited some people get cuz they feel their, "sticking it" to a Trump supporter or someone who's "alt right"... I suppose they are just bursting, waiting to meet someone in reality who they can go off on.

I think Canadian media/ schooling has done a helluva job programming the people.

It's quite amazing. Oh well...

The guy is a machine. On a decent team, he could be the difference maker. I'd say he's as good as Matthews. Maybe more durable seeing as how Matthews gets injured a fair bit.

I've got mine on order already. Brown people in India can get HCQ no problem from the local pharmacist... No prescription required over there.

Perhaps it's a sign that you need to move to india then Kap.

Why is their skin colour relevant?
Is it because you are a racist pig who comes here to spread your filth?

Eichel is a true no.1 centre. Haven't heard of his own teammate tossing his clothes in the showers...

No, I think, it's just when I think India, brown people come to mind, as opposed to British India when I might think of white people.

Why cant you just think of India being India and not always associating skin color. Why is it the first thing you think of...

How 'bout some hockey talk?

I've got an interesting update on Brock Boeser from Minnesota, indications that more than a few players *won't* be participating in the league's Phase 2 workouts, and baby news on Bo, Antoine and Jordie.

What the hell is wrong with you?

Why must you persist in labeling people by their colour orientation, "BROWN PEOPLE"

Why can't you say, Indians, Chinese, Japanese, First Nations, etc.

Take a day off.

Yeah you're the exception not the norm. The BC school system has nothing to do with it
