CNN pushes just as many stupid views, just depends what their agenda is that day (or 3 years of a Russiagate conspiracy theory without a shred of actual evidence). One network saying something stupid doesn't absolve the other network of wrong doing. Just like NBC ran stories about a woman taking fish tank cleaner and blaming Trump even though she was a Democrat and really just used the stuff to kill her husband.

Plenty of the lefty outlets said "don't wear masks" at the beginning for fear people would take them away from front line workers. Now they're changing their tune even though the masks most people are wearing don't really do much to stop it because it can still get in through your eyes (that's coming from the WHO and CDC employees). It's just another thing people use to bullpoop themselves into feeling safer than they really are. Like airport security. They changed their tune from January when the WHO said Corona couldn't spread from person to person. Oops.

You’re right, they’re are both in the same business - entertainment, opinion and analysis. They really don’t generate much news. That comes from newspapers.

It’s a riot, Max. Bad poop happens at riots. As I said, seeing people being attacked is terrible. But there’s no logic that leads to riots; it’s anger and frustration. I can’t condone that violence but I’m not there.

So I’m not sure that I’d equate you’re being “upset about racism” with the lives being led in that neighbourhood. I apologize if I underestimate the difficult circumstances of your life.

sure - i am speaking from a privileged situation.
still, some people chose to try to make something out of their lives and be positive, try and educate their kids, work hard etc. the most noble people i've met in life weren't necessarily the ones with most money.
others chose violence, riots etc. i just don't buy the whole 'everything can be blamed on external influences'. people need to take some responsibility as well.
