Tej Dhaliwal on twitter:

Only in Vancouver would a GM be in an arbitrary hot seat after producing 3 straight ROY candidates (1 winner, 1 runner up, 1 TBD), something that hasn't happened in the NHL since '69 '70 '71.

He’s not on the hot seat because of one ROY trophy. It’s all the other stuff that a GM is responsible for and that hasn’t happened since he took over on May 21, 2014.

He's not even on the hot seat period. The context is about some of the fans.

I don't think I care to mask my enthusiasm for the return to play. I feel they should be as cautious as possible for sure, but as long as they do that I will be watching the games outdoors on a projector on day 1. I know that's not a popular stance but I accept that a lot of people disagree.

We had the AGM for my kids hockey last night and they said that Hockey Calgary is planning for a start anywhere from November to as late as January. I need something for me and my kids to do together!!!!

So regular season officially over.
Quinn Hughes has won the rookie scoring race.

"NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has outlined the league’s plan to return with a 24-team playoff format and how the 2020 draft lottery will work.

“When the go-ahead from medical experts and the relevant government authorities is given, 24 of our 31 teams will resume play,” said Bettman on Tuesday

Everyone has their opinions, we are all Canuck fans, the problem is that the people that don't like Benning always are beaking off, ad nauseam.

There are quite a few people that like what Benning has done, but you don't see them in here or anywhere beaking off that he is a good GM.

It s the same in all walks of life, complainers like to complain...loud and proud.

Maybe, but those who are complaining are loud and get more attention then they might deserve. Dhaliwal wouldn’t feel compelled to post a fact to debunk it if only a few people were talking about it.

I think the Jets will physically take it to Calgary. They are big strong and quick.

Very rational. Does this same rational thinking apply to our exceptional coach, Travis Green who’s able to foster all this young raw talent into quality NHL players?

It is interesting I unfollowed Canucks Army and TSN1040 and about 7 posters on Twitter and have not seen any negative Benning talk in weeks.

Same thing if there was unfollow buttons in HB if you eliminated about 7 to 10 posters there would be very little negative talk in here.

I am a good example back in the Sedin days if you eliminated me Scooby and about 3 others there would not have been arguing for years

Small crowds usually make the most noise. You are talking to an expert on making loud noises

Does this apply to all of the poopty GM's we've had over the years?

Benning has done some good things and continues to but he also has done some bad and continues to.

I don't think anybody is calling for his head this year, especially given the circumstances. Maybe had the team fizzled out an missed the dance the voices would be a little louder.

I think voices will start to get quite loud if the team finishes this season and goes another without showing much progress.

I agree. OCD behavior on the subject of Benning is completely one sided. Most of the positive posts about him are counter arguments to the never ending spiteful narratives.

always back to the few complaints I hand out, yes it applies, I have stated I am not a fan of a few of the coaches, especially Green.

Rationally thinking by me is that Green hasn't fostered any talent out of any young players, he has actually hurt Virtanens development, same as Gaudette, the guy couldn't line match to save his life. The team excelled in spite of him not because of him. I'm surprised he hasn't placed Boeser on the forth line and given him 7 mins a night, but it's going to happen because Green is over his head.

Well that actually felt good I haven't complained about Green in a few months.

Rationally thinking of course
