Unless it’s a no brainer. Like if Tampa offers Point then I move the pick.

I highly doubt those types of players that I would consider moving the pick for would ever be available though so we are better off keeping the pick.

Botts should be telling everyone though our 2021 pick is available. It’s time to win now, the tank commander has stepped off the perch.

Ristolainen is absolutely mediocre as a defenseman. Montour is as well.

At a certain point, ANY point, you would desperately hope the GM would realize that and stop getting fooled by the obvious skill level each player has, and understand what they are is what they are, and move on.

They clearly were not on the same page when you see how Ralph coached the defense (hell, even Dahlin was not bringing the puck up the ice for a good chunk of the season, which is what makes him (frank)ing special) compared to the kind of defensemen Botterill traded for and signed.

Nobody will ever agree, but if you take the obvious stats aside, he was a slightly better version of himself overall, while reverting to his normal self the last almost half of the season.

Trade him now while he has some kind of value, and still has 2 years left on his deal.

Don't wait until he has one year left, and they sure as hell should not be even thinking of extending him to a long term deal after his current one ends.

The HBO Max lineup is pretty solid.

i wonder what this team would be like if we stuck with Darcy through the rebuild? i have a feeling we would be better off. He would have kept the picks and stocked the pipe.. unlike the drunk who traded all the picks for 2 players or the next guy who traded those two players for low picks and the teams second giraffe in 10 years

On Point, he is making $6.75M now through the 21-22 season.

After that, he is getting a BIG pay day.

Is it worth it to give up at least the 3 year ELC of the played being drafted this year for Point when he will be making potentially $10M per or more after the 21-22 season?

It's not an easy answer.
