If numbers keep going up I could see that for stores and indoor settings

It has to. Otherwise, the second wave could hit us like a torpedo..

I’m interested to see how it plays out here. The issue has become politicized in the States but not so much here. In both countries most people are opposed to opening too quickly the economy too quickly and are ready to accept some continued restrictions. My guess is that most people want to go out but don’t want to see the bull poop that happened yesterday. The trick for government is going to be to pull back enough without alienating everyone.

My wife owns a salon and she's already lost one employee as a result of this pandemic. This stylist has refused to recognize the situation as serious and scoffed at all of the precautions that my wife has (in my estimation, entirely reasonably) put into place: washing hands, always wearing a mask, wiping down surfaces, asking clients if they have had any flu-like symptoms, asking clients to wash their hands before sitting in the chair, etc.

She has intimated that my wife is a "panicker" and, after telling her that she had entered the salon already wearing her gloves (but hey, she washed the gloves!) got into it with her and said my wife was "micro-managing" and being "condescending."

FFS.

Clients are calling her every day to find out when she's going to open... as if she has any (frank)ing clue.

And then you flip over to those who are taking the virus seriously - how many times have I seen people not keep their distance, or touch their faces with their gloves, or literally delivered food to their neighbours? It's pretty nuts.

Now couple those with the "muh freedom" types and we have a recipe for continued disaster.

I'm afraid we may have Spanish Flu-like scenario - a summer wear the flu largely abates and then comes back with a vengeance in the Fall. Ugh.

I'm flailing a bit here... probably too many sour beers imbibed this fine Sunday afternoon.

Anyone got a Stream to the golf match?

Every link I have found requires a "free account", and of course requires a credit card they aren't going to charge.

I asked the Nigerian prince who is bringing me the 40 million next week in a brown paper bag. He said he didn't think it was legit.

To Aeth (for some reason, it wouldn't let me reply to your sour post directly):

My usual response to people who scoff at sour beer is this: dude, did you like lagers the first time you tried them? What about Scotch? Brandy? Wine? Or whatever.

If you (generally speaking here) already have an affinity to sour flavours, then I'm willing to bet you'll like sour beers.

Recommended sours:

Small Pony Barrel Works - Half Remembered Dream
The Bruery Terreux - Frucht: Raspberry
Whitewhater Brewing Co. - Blood Moon
Brouwerij Rodenbach - Rodenbach Vintage
Bellwoods - Jelly King (Raspberry Peach), Jelly King (Raspberry & Blackberry)
Collective Arts - Sour (Dry Hopped w/Passion Fruit & Peach), Blueberry (Sour w/ Cacao Nibs)
Brewery Ommegang - Pale Sour

Yes, I take my beers seriously and I will defend sours to death!

A neighbor left one. I opened it, pronounced the taste as awful to my wife...

...and I am still drinking it.

Told her i wanted to see if it gets better.

There's what, another 460 cases today?. I don't think people are taking this serious enough. We still have a long way to go. Doesn't help that Tam hasn't been very good and she had changed her stance a few times.

I’m a huge tiger fan so I’ve been waiting for this for awhile. It’s already pretty good and they haven’t even started playing yet.

Nothing weird about having a bunch of semi-conflicting views on this. This whole issue is filled with yeah buts. Even the term of the debate of being for or against opening up is misleading. Nobody is against opening up. The whole thing has rot be little steps hopefully driven by some science with the situation assessed and then either pulled back as bit or with further steps/

The problem is as you said before, it's hard to put the genie back in the bottle especially when the weather finally turns good.

I searched in Bell Fibe.

CNN International has it in non-HD.

I searched and found it on some weird channel. Subscribed for $16 a month.

Yeah, “the Match” on that channel is some poop euro soccer match replay - nothing to do with golf.
