i'm wondering how anyone can actually believe there will be a resumption of the 2019/20 season. schools have closed until at least September. businesses are grappling with how to balance their needs with the fears of the general public. 2nd waves of the virus are happening in asia where this all began and now in ontario. a vaccine is at least 6-8 months away. nobody knows enough about this virus yet to be able to predict anything let alone feel safe. hockey players included!

in my opinion, the nhl is just trying to stoke a hope that the season somehow can be salvaged for the sake of its sponsors a.k.a. its revenue stream. there is no way that the season will resume under these conditions no matter what bettman and his lot say.
