The NHL does have a real chance to maybe not be the red headed step child of American major sports. If they can agree to this, release it to the public, get fans of the NHL and other sports pumped for some actual sports. Could really help in the long run. They have a chance to steal the spotlight

If the hub city stuff is true it could be insane...From like noon to midnight every day there will be back to back to back playoff games. I may use all my time off for the first 2 rounds of this playoff season this summer

The hub thing seems odd to only use two venues. 4 would be much safer imo (less people/players in those areas). Vegas, Edm, Carolina and Tronna would be perfect.

I was thinking the ice is going to be an issue somewhat with so many games on the same surface. Then the occasional 3-4 OT game could cause some headaches. But I’m sure they’ll have most things under control like that

Nope, but the refs haven't been doing anything, they are probably going to call everything. Going to be no flow. Hope I'm wrong and they let everything go except blatant penalties

I think the ice will be fine. Having played in big tournaments where they have a dozen games in a day, the ice was always fine. And that was at a rinky dink ice rink.

The black seats though, that might be an issue. Players not being able to track the puck when it pops up in the air. White bed sheets?

I was thinking about the empty seats too...I bet they put a huge tent/tarp type fabrics covering the seats with new ads or something. They seriously need all the coin they can get, and that adds some. Jerseys too, ads on jerseys is definitely coming. People will freak about that I bet haha. Oh the horror! Ads on jerseys?!?
