Let the Blackhawks scramble to sign DeB, Sabres can swoop in to take Strome.
Fvck, maybe they'll consider Larsson in the package, lol.

- IonSabres

They have to sign Kubalik too, see what happens
Seems they signed Debricant to a extension.

Yeah and his next contract is due when Kane, Toews and Keith all come off the books.

It's just aggravating listening to people who think they know more about hockey than they really do make dumb proclamations all the time. Thinking that 3-4 years ago "was in the stone Ages" and that someone who just turned 32 is "old as dirt now ..." is one thing, but then you want to sign a guy for 8yrs $6m (which we can't by the way) who doesn't play defense for 2C and then get a 33 y/o winger who's signed until he's 36 for $5.3m a year to cover his weaknesses. You're continuously trying to build a weak team with no physicality that wouldn't make it out of the first round.
As for Debrincat's next contract, you do realize it was constructed to be when Kane's, Toews' and Keith's all expire? $9-10m won't be an issue.

- adambuffalo

Yes he's old as dirt the downfall is happening and you want to be part of that? We already have done that how many times?

And you think the hawks constructed that? The same team has let all star players go... OK then

Dillon and Bonino would have had us in the playoffs this season if they were here all season.

I disagree ...

On the other hand, rather than desiring offensively productive Dmen, and defensively skilled Forwards; perhaps we could flip the switch for the 2nd line and have guys who can drive play and finish opportunities while signing a couple of defensive defensemen to pair with an abundance of puck-moving defensemen in Dahlin, Montour, Pilut, and Joker.

Not every forward must be a Selke candidate (yes, it is an exaggeration). I think there is plenty of room on this team for role players who score, and score alot.

Give me Strome, Alex Tuch, and Josh Anderson for the team to provide a nice mix of scoring and physicality. Yes, Tuch and Anderson had down years, buy low candidates.
I'll give you Bonino and Larsson for the team.
Winning.

Well then wouldn't that fill out the Left side, Dahlin, Pilut, and McCabe by his metrics was one of the better defensive Dman, so know we have to fix the Right side.

The fix is to jettison Risto and Montour, elevate Joker to 2nd pair.
Get a 1st Pair RhD ... Kong had some good metrics and Dmen id'd several pages ago.

Reinhart+ gets you the 1st pairing
Risto/Montour, Mitts/Tage + in 2 packages gets Strome and Tuch
Miller for Anderson
Mojo for Bonino

Skinner - Eichel - Tuch
Olofsson - Strome - Anderson
Kahun - Bonino - Cozens
Asplund - Lazar - Okposo

Dahlin - Kongs recommendation
McCabe - Joker
Pilut - Borgen

Ullmark
Aaron Dell

I'd go to war with that all day

I doubt Bonino comes that cheap, if at all. Spoke to some folks who cover Nashville, they think he gets an extension unless things fall apart next season.

Other than that, Bonino had as many 5v5 goals as Reinhart, one less than Eichel. Hard to imagine him going cheap

Yes 32 is so young that's the downfall for many NHL players

Have him for a 2nd line center and watch us have another disaster season ...

I'm fine with him for the 3rd line

This board is hilariously funny.
I'll let you guys argue about Bonino.

I will remind everyone here however, that he was positinoned earlier HERE to be a cheap acquisition, given his 32 age, 35 points and $4.1m AVV contract
WTF!, lol.
What friggin lane are you guys in?
IDGAF, Christ...start Cozens in the 3C or get another fvcking 3C like elevating LRsson since he is the guy no team could possibly be without, lol!

Jesus (frank)ing Christ you guys love to pontificate at at any level, contradicting yourselves.
