about that "testing program", I've heard there's a test that's been circulating which has an 85% accuracy rate, which kinda sucks balls lol... if I'm a player, I'm staying home if that's the test they're gonna be using

how about 14 teams, top 2 get a bye, other 12 are playing a 3 of 5.

after that you have 8 teams, you can fall back on best of 7

I'm thinking they need less game not more if they want the NHLPA to agree to players beeing stranted for a while

I guess it comes down to how eager you are to watch hockey NOW... I'd probably still watch the games, but I do find most suggestions to be a bit silly, and at the end of the day I'd prefer waiting till next season if we can't have a regular playoff format

This is not adapting, it's using a gimmick to make more money. To argue using more teams is a way to play less games when you could easily play with 16 teams and play a shorter series is asinine. Call this a compromise if it makes it easier for you to digest the bs but it is an adaptation only in the sense of a way to recoup as much revenue as possible. There is literally nothing else to it.
