Would the same old, obese, man be more susceptible to these horrible side effects? Bigger man, bigger heart, more problems. That’s how it works no?

Ok now you keep up with me. Maybe, just maybe, they gave the president of the United States of all people, the most powerful man in the world, the drug because it’s a safe, effective, prophylaxis as well as treatment for covid 19. That ever cross your mind?

- Cptmjl

Deep state FDA warns against its use because of potential heart related complications. Yeah, maybe they decided what the hell there’s no danger and it’s completely safe.

Other possibility - 12 or 13 days ago Trump’s doctors learn that he had has severe exposure to someone who has tested positive to the virus. They know that with his issues there is a serious chance of death and decide that the problems associated with the drug are less serious.

You’re missing the point. The primary problem isn’t the drug. It’s true, lots of people take it. There are serious concerns with it though and if you are Trump you should only take it if you are facing more serious threats. That’s the point and unless you’re yearning for a Pence-Biden campaign, that’s what you should be paying attention to. Obviously the possibility of that happening is low but the fact that it is even a possibility is a big deal.

I don’t really understand your sarcasm with the “deep state FDA” comment? What are you twisting the facts I previously stated as some conspiracy theory? The FDA will not approve anything as an effective treatment for anything without clinical studies being done. A pandemic doesn’t change that NOR does that deem said treatment as ineffective far from that no matter what any news outlet says or what you want to believe. That’s factual. I never said or implied it was the deep state. Stop spinning nonsense stay on course I know you’re having a problem absorbing all of these facts I’m throwing at you today.

As far as the first bold goes that’s hyperbole. I get that’s the world you live in where facts be damned if it sounds right and fits your feelings then man why not? Make it a fact and sell it as such.

2nd bold you just spent a couple of hours saying how horrible the side effects were from this drug. Attempting to prove it was unsafe. Now you’re saying the “primary problem” is not the drug “lots of people take it”. Are you back tracking? Has your opinion changed?

“There are serious concerns though”. If the problem isn’t the drug and lots of people take it who has serious concerns with it? You? CNN? MSNBC? Where are these concerns? That’s a serious question. The physician in charge of treating the President of the United States seems ok with it. That’s a pretty serious job no?

If the drug is so scary with all of these side effects as you’ve been proclaiming for two pages on this thread which now you’re back peddling on they’re not rolling the dice giving it to the president. Nobody is taking that chance with him of all people. They’re giving it to him most likely due to his potential exposure to the virus and for the reasons I have already stated and you are tip toeing around that it is an effective prophylaxis and treatment for covid 19.

There’s no other reason stop looking for it. If you god forbid contract covid 19 I would hope you would take it as well and not believe the garbage you’re being fed.

He knows he’s wrong. I’m from NY I do this constantly with about half of my friends. They’re just as if not more delusional. How anyone can call half the population stupid then post this drivel they’ve been fooled into believing is paradoxical. It’s a shame how easily manipulated some people are. It’s going to be funny when Hydroxychloroquin is considered the best treatment for covid 19 two years from now. You won’t hear a peep about it. Guaranteed.

Looks like this blog was a huge winner for Tanner. 150+ comments. Wow. Probably enough cash to buy his next pack of hockey cards. The next government handout can then be used entirely on vinyl records and facemasks.

Or that Vampire Weekend album he has been saving his pennies for or the oh so great Arctic Monkeys. They give me chills. How anyone can admit to liking such poopty music on a public forum is beyond me?

Jimmy's been saving up. He likely rented the ice at his local rink for an hour. Skating around and around pretending he was playing in front of an Arizona Coyotes home crowd. REM music playing in the background, eating poutine with Extra gravy he spilled all over his Def Leppard Jean jacket from 1985 which is now 5 sizes too small.

We may find out in two weeks that it works as a preventative measure and that will be great. Every serious study done to date shows it doesn’t work as a treatment. Sorry, that’s just science. Maybe something will change and there will be some new about administering it but all the tests have been negative.

The preventative stuff is more interesting and is relevant to Trump’s situation. Serious discussion on this only really began when Trump said he was taking it and that’s all I’ve heard or read about it but it seems serious to me.

Again, the drug poses some degree of danger for people with heart conditions to the point where the FDA advises against taking it for covid. For some reason, his doctors decided to take that risk right after they learned he had had a severe exposure to the virus. I think that at least raises the possibility that they are quite worried about his situation.

That’s it. You can call that bullpoop but if I was in the cult and that was my leader, I’d be inching towards the door and I’d definitely stay away from the kool aid.

Ok so the French study with one of the worlds, leading, epidemiologists with over a 1000 patients enrolled with a 98% success rate means nothing? Serious studies? Which one are you referring too the recent “study” that has been panned by every epidemiologist and anyone who oversees trials, non core lab adjudicated, bull crap that CNN is pushing? The same one that your idiot Roger Roper posted on the Leafs page and you morons lambasted about for five pages saying you hope they keep the border closed so more Americans die?

Yeah I remember that. You guys see clinical study or trial and think it’s factual without a clue what an actual clinical trial or study’s really means. In that particular trial they were giving hydroxychloroquin to vented, immunodeficient, comorbodity patients that were by all accounts already dead. It’s not science stop claiming it as such. There’s a tipping point with the virus giving any drug to dead people won’t save them but you just can’t wrap your head around that.

I love how that article was written by someone who was part owner of the “Daily Democrat” site. Name another serious study because that one was not and nobody in health care is taking it as such.

You keep bringing up the FDA. The FDA will never approve a drug for treatment for something it’s not indicated specifically to treat without a randomized, double blind, double arm, core lab adjudicated trial. It doesn’t happen. Period. You know that though I’ve told you that seven times you just want to ignore that FACT because it proves you’re wrong.

As far as the “serious discussion” on using it as a prophylaxis what serious discussion are you referring to? First line responders are taking it in the US and all over the world. Are you referring to the media as being a serious discussion?

Someone better tell the rest of the world about how horrible the drug is and how it’s going to kill everyone because it’s being used just about everywhere. Hahaha

“That’s just science”. My favorite part of your post. No it’s not. Literally none of what you stated is science you have no understanding of the word but it makes you sound smart and makes me look like I don’t know what I’m talking about in your head. It’s a stupid talking point used by idiots to add some finality to their stupid, non factual, no substance argument.

Also, I’ll add. Next time you go to the doctor with a sniffle and he prescribes you a Z pack don’t take it. You may die from a heart attack because guess what there’s a better chance of that happening from antibiotics then hydroxychloroquin. You're pretty dense but that’s ok keep proclaiming you know about science and such things when you know nothing more than what some crap source is spoon feeding you.

Ah, the great French study by that great leading researcher published in the a International Journal Antimicrobial Agents. It was such a great study that the International Society Of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy which overseers the Journal later came out and said the study did not “meet their expected standards”.

Oops.

Meanwhile, the New England Journal of Medicine, the American Medical Association and the Veterans Administration all published studies showing it doesn’t work as a treatment.

Double oops.

Of course, Trump just called the VA the enemy today because he doesn’t like their study. Or maybe he just doesn’t like people who serve them their country. Who the (frank) knows with him.

You keep overplaying the exposure. Now you call it severe. As I stated earlier, if that was the case he would be quarantined and being kept away from others.

First, given our "morbidly obese" President's history, I doubt if he's actually taking the drug. It does take away discussion from his other (many) blunders, though.

As far as the drug itself...https://www.cnn.com/2020/...ine-fact-check/index.html. I wonder if he has a big pharma reason for touting this unproven drug so much.

I guess when injecting disinfectants and warm weather didn't work, he had no choice.

Poor Trump News Channel (Fox News) can't make up its mind whether the drug is bad or good...https://www.nytimes.com/2...chloroquine-fox-news.html

The thing is, the President should lead by example. And his example has been one of ignorance, defiance and general division. Encouraging citizens to gather despite local guidelines. Refusing to wear a mask when everyone else is instructed to do so. Suggesting injecting disinfectants. Embracing conspiracy theories. It goes on and on, now taking an unproven drug that could have serious (and deadly) consequences. I'm pretty sure that he has tunnel vision when it comes to America. He can see his supporters and not much else.

And his supporters eagerly regurgitate his nonsense nonstop. This thread is proof. The lengths some people go to try and justify the unjustifiable, while extremely amusing and entertaining, is dangerous. Because if you repeat the lie long enough, it becomes the truth. Welcome to 2020 America, where Orwell got it right (just 36 years later).

All rhetoric. Suggesting injecting disinfectants? He did no such thing. I've noticed that during briefings, experts such as Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx also aren't wearing masks. What never Trumpers such as yourself fail to realize is that the President and those around him are closely monitored. The President is tested regularly. People around the President are closely monitored. Please be specific on what conspiracy theories you are referring to? I bet you're full of crap. The drug has been very helpful to a lot of people and he is taking the drug under the supervision of the White House physician.

Like most never Trumpers, all you offer is rhetoric and nonsense. Your post here is a perfect example. You offer zero substance. Anytime you are linking the NY Times and CNN, you are showing that you have zero credibility. Both media outlets have show to have a politically driven agenda and have been proven wrong on well, just about everything.

By the way, here is the guidelines put out by the White House coronavirus task force that the President referenced daily for months for your reading pleasure. Your statement that he is encouraging citizens to gather is more rhetoric. He has been encouraging states where it is safe to open the economy back to do so in accordance with the plan and strategy to reopen. That information is also linked below for your reading pleasure.

None of that shows that the he suggested to anyone that they ingest disinfectants. The evidence that you claim is the consequences is anecdotal. I did not approve of the statement because stupid people could misinterpret that. I also think the President should leave all medical discussions and treatments suggestions to the experts.

That is for staff. It also says that they are not required to wear one when at their desks. When you see the President, it is in interviews, press conferences etc. You'll notice in the picture on the link that the Surgeon General of the US is also not wearing a mask.

They aren't conspiracies. They're proven facts. Whether it is the Russian collusion conspiracy, Being spied on, FISA abuse, Corruption in the DOJ and the FBI including the special counsel investigation or anything else related to that. It is all proven beyond any doubt. To the point where there is an open and ongoing criminal investigation being conducted by US Attorney John Durham. All of what I stated is backed up by the comments of the Attorney General of the US Bill Barr.
Politico and CNN are not reliable sources for any information. The Trump administration is not responsible for testing. The medical community is. Trump has taken numerous steps to provide leadership for the procurement of PPE, testing and ventilators.

This is amusing. He didn't say or do what everyone witnessed him say or do because CNN or the Times reported it. Orwell would be proud (or aghast).

If the material used to support an opinion is bogus then the opinion itself is bogus. This is spin on your part. You did not offer a single provable fact to support your stance. All you offered is political rhetoric. It is a fact that he did not suggest that anyone ingest disinfectants. Nothing to do with who reported what and everything to do with the facts.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.

Your statement that he is encouraging citizens to gather is more rhetoric. He has been encouraging states where it is safe to open the economy back to do so in accordance with the plan and strategy to reopen.

What the President of the United States is encouraging is for the people of the US to stand up to unconstitutional orders by out of control liberal governors. Reopening states that should be open is critical to economic recovery and the overall well being of the population. Liberal governors are drunk with power grabs in an attempt to gain and keep power. They also want to sabotage the economic future to gain a political advantage. The White House has provided documentation and guidance on the parameters under which a state should open and how. An example is when the governor of Maine extended the stay at home order indefinitely when they had 22 active cases of COVID-19 in the state. The governor of Michigan in particular has been shredding the constitution. Liberal governors and judges have been releasing criminals to protect them from the virus and locking up law abiding citizens for invoking their constitutional rights. Are you aware of the salon owner in Texas and what happened to her?

That is for staff. It also says that they are not required to wear one when at their desks. When you see the President, it is in interviews, press conferences etc.

Reread my original post about "leading by example" and then apply. You'll learn.

They aren't conspiracies. They're proven facts.

They are literally conspiracy theories, one of which was DEBUNKED on video right in front of Trump. I take it you did not read ANY of those links. I'm surprised. /s

I actually posted the articles that contain the proof, from many different sources. You automatically disregard the information because of a few sources that you're programmed to ignore and failed to even read or investigate. Just remember, there's audio and video of almost all of this, or written documentation (Twitter). Again, doublespeak is the best defense of the indefensible.

You can parrot, defend, regurgitate and then pat yourself on the back afterword for a job well done, but it still doesn't change the (quite provable) facts.

First, you realize this is a conspiracy theory, right? The governors, who are elected by the people of the state, are intentionally sabotaging their economy for a political future? Proof required. I'll wait.

Here's some information about Michigan's case: https://www.mlive.com/pub...onavirus-in-michigan.html

Here's how Trump's inconsistency hurts people: "In some cases, Trump's encouragement has contradicted the guidelines his own administration offered on reopening states, including a recommendation that the first phase only come after a 14-day "downward trajectory" of confirmed cases. In Michigan, the case count has been steadily declining, but there have been individual days where the number of new cases has increased, partly because the state has ramped up testing.
While he once proclaimed "absolute power" to reopen parts of the country, Trump later conceded that decisions about how and when to return to a more normal state would fall to individual governors, who enacted stay-at-home orders in the first place.

As far as unconstitutionality goes, it seems the orders are constitutional: https://www.mlive.com/pub...ver-emergency-orders.html

Again, clear rhetoric on Trump's part appealing only to his supporters.

See if you can follow along. You don't not see the President of the United States during his daily activities. Since he is closely monitored and tested routinely, wearing a mask for him is not critical. Like I said, you see him in press conferences and briefings. Where as I pointed out, Doctors and scientists are also not wearing masks. It is an unfounded criticism on your part.

It's political rhetoric. Time and again, Trump has been proven correct when accused of pushing conspiracy theories. When will the left ever learn?

You posted articles but not any proof. Go head and post the audio and video.

You're not entitled to your own facts. What you offered is the typical liberal far left talking points and then tried to support it with biased media. The second you posted that Trump suggested that people ingest disinfectants, you were exposed.
