Ugh Italy got hit before the US, so how is that a knock on Trump? That act of closing flight form China, saved thousands from getting infected.

I don't like how he responds and talks sometimes, but I can't imagine having a job where 95% of the media gives you Zero credit for anything. I'd be tooting my horn a bit too much as well.

If he had just accepted that covid was a serious threat from the beginning he could have saved tens of thousands from being infected. His " its just a flu" caused thousands to act like nothing was wrong and spread infection. trump is responsible for the fact that the US has the highest *reported infection and mortality rates.

A news channel that has Chris Wallace, Jessica Turley, Juan Williams, and Donna Brazile former DNC head of all people as part of their broadcast team to just name a few off the top of my head is not full on up Trumps behind. IMO trump has done a pretty terrible job of being a leader during this pandemic and deflects any responsibility. He cannot accept any criticism or poor press. He comes across as nothing more than a tantrum-throwing spoiled man-child.
I'll give him some credit for stopping flights from China after Italy did, even though flights still arrived afterwards with US residents and 14 quarantine.

The travel ban instituted was to stop foreigners, especially Chinese citizens from entering the US. They can't stop US citizens from reentering the US. Get the facts straight.

Actually, it was the experts like Dr. Fauci and NY City medical healthy officials who were touting that there wasn't much to be concerned about early on. Politicians get their advice from the experts. Politicians are not experts on infectious diseases. Trump closed the border 10 days after the first reported US case. The virus was brought in from China. That is who to blame. They could've contained this as a local outbreak.

I can't even turn the news on without going into a near apoplectic rage due to the general stupidity of people. It's becoming very obvious that our societies lack of respect for experts and professionals is killing us.

While you are mentioning experts being wrong, remember the following:

-WHO telling us in late January that there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission. Trump closed the border anyway.

-Nancy Pelosi in late February walking around San Fran's Chinatown without a mask telling everyone it was safe to meet friends at restaurants. Later, when confronted, she said that particular area was safe.
