No EJ wasnt a projected 1st, all QBs that year projections fell to the 2nd round or later.

Smith
Manuel
and Barkley

They were all at one point projected in the top 8, but by the time the draft rolled around, they were 2nds or later. The bills were questioned for taking him in the 1st. And it was pointed out they should have traded back again for him

- Mentalorgasm5

They did balance it out by getting an extra 2nd round pick which they used to draft Kiko Alonso who was later traded for Shady

I can't blame the Packers for going that direction, but the actual choice of quarterback I find a little baffling.

Who am I to judge?

The entire 2013 draft was a whole bunch of "who cares".

Can't blame the Pack. The NFC has some powerhouse teams including Super Bowl favorite San Fran
- Michael Pachla

They were one game away from the superbowl and needed to get Rodgers some help....

So they promised him they get it for him for time in his career

That's backstabbing move lol

Doesn't surprise me.

Sounds about the right % to represent the Never-Trumper crowd. Thing is most of them are establishment republicans and would rather hold their nose and vote for Trump then elect Biden (or whoever magically takes over for him at the convention).

- feetontheair22

Many of them are no longer Republicans, they/we became Independent. The Republican Party has regressed in size since Trump. Trump can lie and say he has 95% of the party but the party is a bit bigger than a half cake and not a regular-sized birthday cake any longer the party has trouble.

Someone asked so, 23% want another nominee how many will vote for a "liberal" which Biden is not a Liberal, he is a moderate Democrat. Well, they don't need that high a percentage of disgruntled Republicans to vote for Biden, 2-3% and game over if it's not already.

He needs those disgruntled Republicans to be in the midwestern states: PA, OH, MI, MN, IN, and WI, or the "Big Ten" States (as in the Athletic Conference, not the number). Anywhere else doesn't matter. Those are the states where this election is going to come down to.

I vote for myself every election but if I was forced to choose one or the other.......

I’d unfortunately vote for Trump as I view him as the lesser of two evils. As my mother says go with the devil you know.

Love is a project though. He needs to sit for 2 years.

Rodgers can’t play forever and it’s always good to have someone developing behind him.

Broncos are on QB #5 since Peyton retired. I feel good about Lock but it was a small sample size and this year will really tell us what he’s all about.

True, but with all the factors, unemployment, botching on how they/he handled COVID-19, corruption, death, misery if Trump wins they will call this generation the Idiodic Generation, as opposed to WWII, which was labeled the Greatest Generation.

This results of this pandemic is going to be a clear-cut indicator of who wins in November. The debate of when to open the country back up is almost as partisan as it gets. The left wants to lockdown longer. The right wants to open everything up yesterday. If the Red States that are opening up now end up doing so without a strain on the hospital systems, the Democrats are going to be in trouble because they will have put their constituents behind the economic 8-ball. If the results end up in a place where the numbers spike so badly that they have to shut down again, the Republicans will most likely lose everything.

The notion that he completely botched this is a media narrative. He made some mistakes yes, but this country was screwed the moment the British Chicken Little came out with his 2.2 million doomsday projection and the CDC decided it was gospel.

30 years of being told that but he is way far left than what he is portrayed to be. He just tapped AOC to be on a task force to shape his policies, that's moderate? Any Republican or Democrat that has been around for 25+ years has sold this country out and it's finally coming out. I don't like Biden but honestly I feel bad that he is being peddled out in the condition he is in, he has clear lapses and I can't believe his family continues on with it.

I think Cuomo may be in hot water on his re-election

the lawsuits from the nursing homes are going to be insane

He's been backpedaling quite a bit. I haven't had an issue with his handling of this up until a couple of weeks ago. He's now stating that the rate of infection among front-liners is lower than the general population because they were masks. The only problem with that claim is that he is including nursing homes in the "general population" bucket.

Oh, the anger comes out right away. Do you want to have a seat and talk about this? Lay down? By the way, I don't talk politics that much on here I just question your devotion when you lie about what I creatively wrote with simile or metaphor about a wife-beater while bowing to a rapist and sexual abuser which doesn't make sense. He is also a moron who is bumbling his job at the WH just as he has done most everything he has ever done. 6 bankruptcies is nothing to be proud of, losing a billion dollars in a decade, the most any American ever did; killing the USFL; Trump University Scam. There are many more. I just wonder what makes you love him? The brown person hate that he has, does that work for you? Because otherwise, I can't see a reason why anyone would support a game show host for president who sucks at it.

If it is the brown person thinger Obama/Biden kicked out more than any administration. They should be seen as heroes. Is it Central Park 5, not renting to Blacks, and hate for Blacks? Does that mesh? I'm thinking it's the brown and black thing because it can't be anything else.

Disagree. But everyone here knows that.

The parallels between Trump's handling of the USFL and his handling of the re-opening of America will, imo, have similar consequences. It's his first real crisis and he's failing.

That was most likely what happened in 2016 as well. I guess what I'm curious about with folks is, if you throw out Trump being Trump, throw out the nonstop media insanity on both sides of the spectrum and throw out this unprecedented Covid time the last 4 months, how has your way of life been the past 3 years? Unless I'm way off here I just have to imagine most would say, ya know what, it's been positive. Now not everyone but I would think a majority.

Talking about the year they traded back with KC and they took Mahomes. KC took a chance and it definitely worked out for them, Mahomes was considered a late 1st rnd that year.
