If that's the conclusions you are drawing from that article, then I wouldn't say you read it that closely.

He was a kid that partied. More so than most, even though it's hardly uncommon in the NFL. A majority of these kids are not well off. Give a poor kid millions, see what happens. Events in his life, combined with the drinking and subsequent injuries caused a deep depression, medically considered a disease.

He never "counted" the days to leave the org. He suffered injuries and depression and was at an extremely low point when McD came. He was suffering here, and regardless of whether that's his fault, which it more or less was, it's his right to want to leave for a fresh start. In his own words, he did not ask for a trade.

He may have said some bumhole things to some fans, but I'm not seeing where he's just generally an bumhole? Do you know him? Know folks who he's treated poorly? Is he continuing to taunt the org, city and fans?

By the sounds of it, he had an epiphany, woke up from his depression and is performing relatively well again.

I still fail to see how he's an "bumhole like Gilmore" but I suppose that's your opinion. Which is fine.
