That was a Reinhart Comp too. All the top prospects always get compared to the best players in the League. Most never hit that high ceiling. If he was gonna be a Bergeron then yes you take them all day. But also if he was that good he would be going #1 overall. - Fattony1187
Everybody has there opinions, everything I read says he is a elite 2 way player, and he would be a solid get anywhere from 7 to 10. |

Solid post
One hockey fan (Reddit user /u/skrtskrt888) from North Chelmsford, and happened to come across someone who looked a lot like Jack Eichel in his childhood yearbook under the name John Eichel. Jack is actually a nickname for John, but it’s one of those facts of life that you never really know until someone tells you, because it makes no sense otherwise.
Hope this helps - Boss34
GTFO! Really?
/s
So you're really calling him John John. I don't see how that makes any more sense. |

Ideally, but not likely as I highly doubt a CBO is coming to buyout Okposo.
Olofsson - Eichel - Reinhart
Skinner - Henrique - Kahun
Johansson - Soderberg/Cozens - Craig Smith/Cozens
Maroon - Larsson - Simmonds
- kingcong39
- Boss34
The lineup is good, but holy poop it is expensive, lol.
Olo = 4.5m
Jack = 10.0m
Sam = 7.0m
Skinner = 9.0m
Henrique = 5.8m
Kahun = 2.7m
Mojo = 4.5
Soderberg. 4.75m/Cozens = 1.0m
Smith = 5.0m
Maroon = 0.9m
Larsson = 2.0m
Simmonds = 1.5m
~54m - 58m +/- on forwards.
Compared to relative cap strapped teams, for Forwards that puts the Sabres in Club House lead...not where you want to be for an emerging team...and fvcking old too boot.
Bolts have 52m
Leaf's at 53m
Caps at 51
Stars 48
Vegas at 46
Canucks at 46
Coyotes 42
Blues at 43m
Flyers 41
Bruins at 41
I know my work is incomplete, I only looked at 10 teams with lowest cap space |

He played top 6 minutes in Chicago, 3rd line minutes in Pittsburgh.
He has shown he can produce in a top 9 role
He has shown that he can play the top 6 minutes if required, and like the other 80% of the wingers in the NHL his production will be inflated playing with a good Center.
Tom Wilson averages 30 points a season across his whole career but the Caps seem just fine rolling him around in the top 6.
This has everything to do with your size argument, and nothing about the players production.
Ideally Kahun is on the third line, but he could easily break out and put up 50 points in a top 6 role also if given the opportunity.
I’m not expecting him to fill a top 6 role, all im saying is that he can be a contributor for this hockey club and is a small step in the right direction to filling out our depth. - Pegullaville
Don't you ever say an unkind word about Tom Wilson again! You hear me! And he doesn't do the thing Boss complains Reinhart does either! Coincidence! |

Those rankings are pretty different from others I have seen.
I guess one needs to be different.
I love Holtz, but 3?
Stutzle is normally in top 4
Lundell is usually at the 9/10sh position
Drysdale in the top 5
Seems off Michael, but to each their own...if you're right...start-up a prospects ranking business!

I’ll take as many as it takes to build a cup contender.
Do you ever get sick of making the playoffs just to be a doormat for the actual contenders ? |

Funny.
We are all wondering the same!
3 picks in top 2 and the team still challenges for another top 5 pick year after year. |

If trumpty dumpty ever takes his thumb out of his mouth after his little temper tantrum, maybe he'll answer what the charge against Obama is. |

Michael. Guess Botts took his pay cut as a signal to reduce his output.
Haven't heard a word from him in 2 months.
No contract signings, nothing.
Of course, when you are the league leader and SC favorite, one can relax a bit...not like the team was driving hard for 27th. |

The models i based this off of have been more accurate at predicting nhl success/performance than the traditional amateur scouting sites.
They're still prospects though so in the end, it's still just throwing darts and hoping a few land. |

1) Lafreniere- Huberdeau clone with better shot
2) Byfield- Malkin type potential, intriguing size/speed combo
3) Raymond- Marner type potential with better defensive game
4)Rossi- Marchand type that can/should stay in the middle. Would love him to fall to us at 7-9.
5) Stutzle- slippery playmaker with great wheels. Reminds me of Barzal
6) Drysdale- Right Handed Morgan Reilly.
7) Holtz- Best goal scorer in the draft. Shades of Boeser/Connor
8) Lundell- Solid 200 ft player. Think Mikko Koivu/Jordan Staal. Safe bet to at least crack the NHL as a defensive 3C. Top end potential is Bergeron/ROR.
9) Perfetti- stats say he should go higher than this, perhaps I’m underrating him due to lack of top end foot speed but he’s a dominate dual threat player. Threat as a shooter and a playmaker. I see RNH.
10) Jarvis- I think Michael is on to something with Jarvis. Seth had incredible numbers this year in the WHL (better than Cozens from last year) once again the 5’9 size comes into play. I see Brendan Gallagher type potential minus the snarl.
Can honestly make a case for any player ranked 3-9 to go in the 3 hole. Depends on the team and their need/preference.
Sabres should come out of this draft with another strong prospect. |

Well, hopefully you found a niche to leverage.
I've been vocal about Holtz, and was equally so for Cozens.
If they can land Holtz at 7 with that projection...things are looking up! |

if they fall to 10, there's really no reason not to trade down if the opportunity rises...I haven't delved deeply into the prospects yet, but it looks like there's a nice pool from eight or nine well into the teens - Michael Pachla
Gunler, Jarvis, Zary, Mysak, Mercer, Sanderson, Holloway, Askarov.
There are going to be quite a few household names taken in this draft class. There is a lot of talent in rounds 2-3 as well.
Really strong class overall. Sabres need to hit on a forward at the top of the 2nd round as well. There will be a few guys taken in the mid rounds that will become solid contributors in time as well. |

I enjoy the challenge this time of year but there are lots of better prospect guys out there.
Would be nice to find a niche in hockey though. Focused heavily on the economics for soccer but i grew up on that.
I'd be over the moon with Holtz at seven, not out of the realm of possibility Imo |
