There are a lot, it's availability that's the question.

I think Skinner needs a guy to dig out pucks and that is good at setting him up either in transition or finding him at the hashes like Jack did last year.

As an example, I'd like to see him paired with a center like Mikael Backlund. Guy has always had good puck possession abilities, Corsi and Fenwick always above 50%. Pass first player, probably not the best retriever, but I think that would be an example of a guy who could play off of Skinner's strengths.

I think we're over-reacting to Skinner's 2019-20 season. Yeah, it wasn't great, but I can't see him replicating that next year. Whether with Jack or without.

But I'm hoping we trade Sam I have nothing against him if there was a redraft he be taken around 10 not his fault ..

We really should use him to get a young center ready to take over Hischier, keller ,PLD, robert thomas,Filip Chytil

- gerbe75pts

I have no problem trading Rhino if he brings back a piece that helps us more. But even if that happens it all depends on chemistry. And get ripped apart, but I still think Jack has a little say on who he plays with.

We can't be paying him 7m when he hasn't reached 30 goals or past 60 pts in his career .. we need to save that money for other players imo or a center

I believe they'll hit the negotiations thinking that the Sabres got a bargain the last two yrs. Time to pony up

If anything Sam benefitted.

Even if he gets market value of $7M, it’s more then what he would have gotten 2 years ago.

Agreed. I think he'll bounce back. He was generating a lot of chances last year that he was getting to go in the year prior.

I would like to see him with better linemates in general is all.

He's had steady year over year points increase up until this season. Although he may not hit his career high of 65 points set last year, he's got 22 goals, same as last year, and was well within reach of his career high of 25 set two years ago

If they can get Rhino for 7mill I would sign him, him and Jack have good chemistry. Is he as good without Jack, probably not, but he is with Jack and that trio made a very good 1st line.

I fail to see why more players don’t play on shorter term deals and then max out on future contracts.

Could always take out injury insurance in the case the player does suffer a long term injury.

I guess it’s tough to say no to a fully guaranteed contract regardless if you can make more with inflation a few years later.

Vo can play RW on the first line
- gerbe75pts[img][/img]

The img u posted isn’t coming through on my iPad. Is it a picture of the 3ER?

Where have you heard every goal Goalofsson ever scored in his career is from the right side? Who told this board how good Goalofsson was 3 years ago and been asking for him to play right side for the last year?

Exactly

This board really should start thanking me for my takes if they are going to be using them as their own.

Yes he can, but just like Jack is more comfortable on the left side on the PP because he shoots right, Olofsson can get his 1 timer off quicker on the right during the PP cause he shoots left.

Don't see it, Sam is who he is, and I think on Jack's wing he will consistently put up 60 to 70pts, which unless he gets you a better player in a package is fine with me.

Since you have the crystal ball out, mind telling me the winning lotto numbers? I could really use a few million right now.
