Do i need to go into detail about how bad he was at times?

Didn’t think so?

- jdfitz77

Really depends on how true the injury issue was? In Oct he went 6-1-1 with a .926 sv% and 2.21 gaa. Then came his "injury" slump where he went 0-7-3. 3 points out of a possible 20 is undeniably bad. After the Allstar break he started to get his game back and finished the season going .906 sv% and 2.96 down the stretch.

I've said it before that I wouldn't mind an upgrade, but if it truly was an injury and it's completely healed, then I'm fine with him for 1 more season.

Makes you wonder doesn't it? Even Jordan said it. That shot was so hard. that speed staying square to the hoop very difficult. Jordan missed a similar buzzer beater earlier in his career that they showed in one of the episodes.

They fvcked up having Ehlo guard me. They should’ve had Harp on me.

We had Gretzky and Jordan spanning the 80's and 90's.

Oh my.

Keith Gretzky never panned out and Jordan Nolan did not play in the 90's

mojo is not very good
- navinrjohnson

Mojo is fine when he plays where he should be at Wing, he is a 45-50pt player, at a decent contract. He isn't the problem, it's not having players to fill out the roster properly, or using players where they shouldn't be.

Well guess there doing that, cause that's pretty close to how many players they will have under contract at the end of the year.

Sure he's fine but if we could upgrade that can take over then we should do it

He was never the sharpest crayon in the box but I always thought he put in a fair day's work and tried his best.

Let’s look at the “in between” u posted
.906 sv%
2.96 gaa

What kind of record will that come out to for the
30-50games he’ll play?

I’m thinking it’ll hurt our playoff chances

*he also dipped pretty badly the 2nd half of the prior season as well if i remember right

I get to see Blue Angels and Thunderbirds pretty soon here. Looks like they'll be flying right over my house. Check out to see when they might be coming up to Buffalo/Niagara. I believe they're supposed to be touring the country.

If we didn’t resign Jeff, Mojo could have filled the 2LW role and we could have used the $9M in cap space to upgrade other areas on the roster.

as a .5 ppg player that really doesn't score goals, Marcus would never be a good second liner player on a decent team

third liner, sure

Connor Sheary was a first line winger on a team that won 2 cups.

Those weren't the "in between" numbers, just the numbers after the Allstar break (when most the team stopped playing). His 10 game winless streak he was way below .900 and was around 4.00 gaa.
The .906 was better than 9 of the top 20 paid goalies last year and a better gaa than 8 of the 20. Not great numbers, but this is why I would want to make sure that he's 100% healthy. I would also keep him around the 30 game mark which he is better suited for.

As for the record over 30-50 games, the closest match i found would be Rittich: 48gp, 24-17-6, .907sv% 2.97 gaa.

Interesting observation, but what’s the point?

Neither of them have Skinner’s talent.

Yes we could have, but used properly Skinner can help this team win.

Fat Phil also deserved the conn smythe for the first cup of their back to back but the Canadian media hates him and loves Crosby. Those teams are not a case study for your wingers are irrelevant theory

Where do you think he played in Washington, I would take a 3rd line of Kahun Cozens Mojo. That means you fixed your 2nd line.

Why does he have to be replaced by a “bottom pairing lefty” though?

And we still need scoring on lines 2&3

- jdfitz77

Well. Who do you believe would replace him? Are you gonna trade for a top-4 d-man?

That the opportunity cost of an additional $4.5M in cap space used properly is more beneficial to the team then having Skinner > Mojo.

The same argument I’ve had since April of last year.
