If they have the playoffs, they should televise them like they do some MAC football games when there are few fans in the stands, lower the cameras and try not to show the empty stands too much.

I got lost in all the discussion, which was way cool and a long time coming, however that direct-to-the-playoffs format would have the #3-seed leafs against the #6-seed sabres...

But he had a lot of assists and ended up with 20 goals in what 50 games? I thought the Sabres needed good forwards? Unless that forward robbed Skinner of his top line spot, then diss him at will.

He's not a rookie or 7th round pick who was killing it on the PP, trusted on OT (where was Skinner?) so ya know the Sabres need good forwards, no? Just not overpaid, long term ones who play at the same production level of a 7th round rookie.

I will absolutely admit a large part of my hesitation to sign Reinhart long term comes from Skinner. I was all for it. I was wrong. The problem was putting a premium on wingers. By signing Reinhart even to market value, you're doing the same thing.

It's easy to discount not scoring an EV goal in his 20 in his first 20 games in the NHL playing with new linemates, but after the 20 game stretch he scored at a 20g pace. I would take 20 EV goals and 5-10 PP goals.
