[quote=GilPerreault11]It's because Reinhart couldn't play productive center, he didn't light it up his first year like many 1st forwards taken in the draft who are known for cerebral strength, sam?

My argument is much deeper than that champ, it is just a fact that you and others hump the Reinhart tree and few others outside of WNY don't.
- GilPerreault11

The bold is bloviating bullpoop to attempt to make yourself sound intelligent.

Nobody thinks he's great and nobody with a brain is blaming him as the root of the entirety of the teams problems like you have written.

Everybody would trade him tomorrow for a quality impact center.

Most have common sense to simply believe he's solid player and was in no way a whiff as somebody else claimed.

Yakupov is a whiff. Nolan Patrick, so far, is a whiff.

I’m not debating that.

I’m debating the false narrative that he’s just not aware that he needs centers

- sbroads24

Why should anybody give a poop at all that he is aware when he has not shown an actual, tangible result, while holding on to 17 NHL defensemen and refusing to trade them?

These are your words. And not singling you out, it’s been said many times, it’s just false.

He’s failed to have a 2C for this year and last. But he hasn’t ignored the position for the future in the slightest

- sbroads24

There's such a thing as the future and the present.

Sabres Classics are the best and worst thing to happen to fans this year. So awesome you get to see all the GREAT teams you loved through the years and smashed in the frankin face by how much you frankin cant stand anything about the current frankin team at the same time.

Sabres for Seattle. Who says no?

Again I’m not debating the results. The center position for the past two years has been a problem

Taking Reinhart over Draisatil is a whiff.

Taking Nolan Patrick over Pettersson, Heiskanan, and Makar is a whiff.

Ron Hextalll and Tim Murray are out of jobs, coincidence ?

You can say that every year about multiple GM's and teams. You can even sing the praises of a GM and team one year and crush them the next for whiffing, as you love to say.

You need luck and good fortune along with good scouting to draft well.

Can't play the position he was drafted for and I would LOVE to see him play without Jack and WHIFF. The undying devotion will weaken.

I would take offense to this but I have been right about Reinhart before he was even drafted and everyone here was lapping him up like he was some sort of star and still do. You are invested so good luck with that.
- GilPerreault11

In terms of expected goals above replacement this season, Sam Reinhart ranks 29th in the league, right around the likes of Brayden Point, John Carlson, and Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Reinhart has more 5v5 points than players such as Sebastian Aho, Sean Monahan, Kyle Connor, Mathew Barzal and Ryan O’Reilly.

These are names that are obviously mediocre players in the NHL, and if your theory is that he wouldn't have any success in the league then all these guys - and everyone who writes about them - want to have a chat

That is wrong it didn’t “just start” we started selling players in 2011/12 season (gaustad) then pominville the next season then miller and vanek the next year. All before trading for Oreilly. The Oreilly trade was season 4 of trying to rebuild after selling assets. Not the “beginning”
- Fattony1187

Yeah but tanking for Rhino and Jack had, and all the picks were just starting to come into play from those trades, TM was handed a boatload of picks and prospects to help with a rebuild, that were basically traded away in a few years. We would have been in better shape if we would have just let the prospects mature and use the multiple 1st and such traded away.

This team needs another top 10 pick, not to play 2-3 extra games.
- Pegullaville

I'll take the extra games so we can get a higher pick if we could end up at 3rd or 5th why not

Yeah, and how upset you were about it but could not sway away from a president who has been accused 20+ times of rape and sexual abuse. You take the high road all the time.

He had that one good year.

How many would Leon have next to Jack ?

We would have had Jack100 two years ago.
