Yeah we should stop pretending Tampa will ever trade one of their best players
- sbroads24

We should all stop expecting good teams will trade their really good players as it just doesn't happen.

It's straight forward in how Buffalo will need to get out of the perpetual poop cycle:

Pray Cozens and the pick this year both turn out great, and make the obvious moves that have needed to be made for over a year now, along with possibly shaking up the roster.

Some teams are dumb. Tampa apparently isn’t.

I’d target Monahan or someone like Hertl.

I think those are feasible targets

If he’s average they win 10 games.

Hard to argue with the talent the Broncos have on the roster right now.

Probably one of the best 1-53 man rosters in the entire NFL.

If Lock isn’t the guy, the next one is walking into a perfect fit.

You worded your baloney to try and have an out, but it's not going to work.

All the players I named sucked, flat out.

Would you rather have drafted a player that just sucked period but hey, at least he sucked at the position he was drafted at. That's incredibly silly logic.

All that said, I'm not an advocate for signing Reinhart to a big, long term deal as I'd absolutely trade him for a quality center.

- kingcong39

I’m over the Reinhart argument at this point.

It’s 6 years old. He’s good. He should stay because we have awful forwards

Why would San Jose trade Hertl, and how much would it take to get him?

The Broncos are built very similarly to the Bills.

I’m excited to see what Fangio can cook up in year two with Miller, Chubb, and then adding a 5 time pro bowler in Jurrel Casey.

Lots of intrigue to this season, whenever it may happen.

They’re gonna need to clear cap at some point. Idk if they want to though

I wonder which top two draft pick in the NHL, or NFL over the last say 20 years maybe 30 had to change his drafted position because he wasn't good enough to play it besides Reinhart?

If Reinhart was a winger would the Sabres have taken him #2?

If Reinhart could play center they wouldn't have needed to trade for ROR, and they would have their third line center in Compher, and a solid D in Nikita Zadorov. They could have used him or Risto in a deal for a solid forward.

Drafting Reinhart led to two more disasters, the trade for ROR and the trade of ROR. Clusterf*ck. I rest my case

I’ve heard we need to move Dahlin to 2C if that counts? 😂😂😢

Yes that was the dumbest, most unbelievable, unrealistic, laughable and downright thoughtless post of the year.
Unfortunately I stand as that guy who posted it and as much as most people think it is all that, I think it was worth a try when nothing else was working.
I also believe if you are not willing to think outside the box you may get trapped inside one

He could be Foppa 2.0. Does absolutely nothing to improve Sabres as a Defenceman. Make him the 2C or trade him for one if u can’t. Anyone still bragging about how good he has been for the Sabres is a brain dead moron

Had to take a double look. Looks exactly like his dad.

They get there when they write off any possibility of a championship in the next decade.

With the way the cap situation is looking I would think we would have to obtain forward help by moving one or two of Risto/Montour/Miller for forward help (or for futures if you want the cap space flexibility to sign UFA’s)

I believe it was you that mentioned possibly moving both Risto and Montour a few months ago ?

I think as more time passes I’m warming up to that idea myself, although I know it will never happen.

I’m just hoping they move one of them. Borgen is ready to play imo.

Yes sir, I'm fully on board moving both as the team badly needs center/forward talent and I don't believe Ristolainen or Montour are much better than an average defenseman, meaning they're easily replaceable.

My company just offered me a position to move back to GA (Yes I know during this time i shouldn't be complaining)
But it is one of the hardest decisions of my life.

I have until Friday to decide.

Only issue is the move wouldn't happen for 9+ months, in which a hell of a lot can change.

Means the Sabres will not win a Cup with Sam Reinhart on their roster.

You do quite enjoy making sweeping generalizations, and the one above is quite a doozy.

I also think it's nonsense.
