Gretzky was better than Orr.

However, the gap between Gretzky and Orr was a lot less than the gap between Jordan and anyone you want to compare him to in his era.

Gretzky was never the smooth skater Orr was. There is a reason many have Gretzky and Orr 1a/1b. They both revolutionized the way the game was played. Now I give Gretzky the edge because he did have 1520 points in his 1st 8 yrs(190 point per season).

Pegs- Do you think you're just gonna plug drew lock in at qb and lead denver to the playoffs? Play good defense?

What's the feeling? 7 playoff slots this season. Top 7 out of 16?

I feel like the most underrated addition we made this offseason was bringing in Pat Shurmur to be OC and Mike Shula as the QB coach.

Daniel Jones took a lot of chances down field and Lock has the arm to make all of the throws.

Elway went WR happy in the draft but our bread and butter is still the defensive side of the ball. Getting a healthy Bradley Chubb back will help forsure along with Bryce Callahan (former Bears DB) who didn’t even play a snap last year due to foot surgery and was one of our big ticket free agents.

I think the Broncos will contend for that last wild card spot.

Paying someone on a contract for what they did and not what they will do is the dumbest thing you can do.

It might be ok for a couple years if you surround that player with superstars but will hurt you team long term. And to sign skinner for 8 years?? Should of been fired on the spot

this does not compute...how else do you gauge their worth?

Jeff Skinner averages 29 goals per season and 23 assists for a grand total of 52 points.

That’s using the sample size of an entire career.

But hey, Cheecho scored 40 once too I guess right.

- Pegullaville

27 goals per year before this year's dreaded one. It's probably 24 or 25 now.

You’re really goin out on a limb. There will be 9 teams contending for the last wild card spot. Will they be in the playoffs or not?

he was top-10 in the league in goals scored from his rookie year to the end of last season...top-5 in 5v5 goals and Numero uno in goals/60 at 5v5...

yes, he was having a crappy season with only 14 goals and was on pace for just under 20...he scored less than 20 goals in a full season only once when he had a career-low shooting percentage of 7.7%, same as this season

I wonder which top two draft pick in the NHL, or NFL over the last say 20 years maybe 30 had to change his drafted position because he wasn't good enough to play it besides Reinhart?

If Reinhart was a winger would the Sabres have taken him #2?

If Reinhart could play center they wouldn't have needed to trade for ROR, and they would have their third line center in Compher, and a solid D in Nikita Zadorov. They could have used him or Risto in a deal for a solid forward.

Drafting Reinhart led to two more disasters, the trade for ROR and the trade of ROR. Clusterf*ck. I rest my case

no way the browns overtake the ravens...they've got yet another new head coach and obj could very well be a black cloud hanging over them...

that said, they've done a lot of really good things, and next year should be knocking on the door...they still won't overtake Baltimore, but they'll be making serious noise in the AFC North

cleveland plays the jets and raiders

baltimore plays the pats and chiefs

I think that's the difference

plus the nfl will pay more attention how to defend jackson

not sure the browns will be able to beat the ravens...and the pats shouldn't be all that difficult for Baltimore...not like in the past

If he’s average they win 10 games.

Hard to argue with the talent the Broncos have on the roster right now.

Probably one of the best 1-53 man rosters in the entire NFL.

If Lock isn’t the guy, the next one is walking into a perfect fit.
