Thank you so much for pointing that out. Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

He was being sarcastic in pointing that out!

Listen, Dems and liberals are making it into what it's not. It's not Trump telling people to ingest or inject a disinfectant. it is however stupidity on Trump's part. There was no reason to talk about that and it was carelessly done. To the point where manufacturers have felt the need to issue warnings. Trump deserves criticism on that.

I disagree completely that those who are forced to do what they need to do to survive, should be held responsible in any way for making that choice. It's what anyone would do.
- MJL

I haven’t seen anyone forced into life or death yet and I work daily with the people who would get there first. Maybe in other parts of the country ir world it’s different.

To that note if it came to my children starving or blowing your head off (not you specifically but anybody) it’s not a debate. But from what I see in real life and read in the news we arnt there yet.

One, you don't know or have exposure to everyone n the country. Second, your trying to suggest this is equivalent to murdering someone is out of line to put it nicely.

I don't know if the latest death projections have changed for the US, but we're going to go way past 60K. At 54.5K now and its not slowing down.

I'd agree that it seems risky to do with the information we have now, the thing is, we don't have a lot of information. We're all just speculating here, the NHL has made it clear that any decision the make will be based on the recommendations of health care professionals. Not much has changed since then, so while it's fun to talk about, to say what's right or wrong is premature.

You never know, a neutral site might be totally plausible, and might be the way it has to be going forward. Maybe even into next season. And yes, players will have to stay away from their families and it will be hard, but if the NHL chooses that direction and it's approved by the health care world, so be it.

As many people have said throughout, things may never go back to "normal" even after a vaccine is found, maybe this will a way that professional sports adapt for the forseeable future. As brutal as it sounds, people will soon have to start going back to work, the powers that be have to find a way for us to do it safely and we'll all need to work together to make it happen. If players find it too hard to be away from their families, or disagree with how it's being handled, they may have to make tough decisions on whether or not they want to continue their career, but that's something we'll all have to do.

Seems to me he was talking about ultra violet light. I think he’s doing a great job considering the severity, 90% of the media is against him. Try running the country and dealing with this. It’s like the baby falling into a five gallon bucket sticker, or twelve year olds eating tide pods. If you do stuff like that you deserve everything you get.
We always kid that if Trump said air is the greatest thing ever, the haters would put plastic bags over their heads.

WTF are you talking about. When this country reopens, people will have to make their own decisions about what want/need to do.

I guess you think everyone should stay home indefinitely until there is a 100% guarantee that no one will ever get infected?

- rrentz

Tanner doesn’t care about people who’ve been home for a couple months and haven’t received any asisstance...he works from home and his nickels role in regardless. Better off ignored most of the time.

Well. I can’t validate you. You won’t accept it. You also don’t know everyone in the country but I’m pretty sure if children were walking around like those African commercials we would hear about it. So enjoy arguing for arguments sake with some one else.

None of that changes that he deserves criticism for his comments in this case.

I know right? You did it and you're totally fine. I mean, what's a slight bit of brain damage between friends! I can't wait to see what you do when you find out that according to Trump, Lorena Bobbit had the cure the whole time.

Oh my god. There are no words to describe you.

This is why Trump is so dangerous. People who don't know better just listen to the deteriorating brain of a fat guy in makeup.

- James_Tanner

Why is it that you are virtually the only one on this thread that can’t keep up the civil discussion? Several salient points going back and forth, and you throw this out. Can you not just add to the conversation without insulting?

This makes zero sense. We know for a fact that there is poverty in this country. We know for a fact that there are struggling people who live pay check to pay check are out there with no savings. We know that there are 26M Americans out of work. We know that the unemployment system is bogged down with volume. You may call it arguing for arguments sake but I just call it discussing the facts. You don't see it in your little slice of the world, so it doesn't exist. I call that ignorance.

You haven't successfully made a case here. You're wrong about how society works. There is also a question of law here.

In my opinion people that can safely work from home and are able to support their families are not allowed to participate in this debate. Anyone, if faced with the unlucky decision of how to feed their starving children, would steal, lie, or kill to feed them, and a high and mighty attitude from someone who is able to support themselves without going out, pointing their finger at others who cannot support their family while staying home, is just wrong.

I am personally on the side of the ledger of those that can still work from the home office and I am actually busier than ever, thank god (although that's because of decisions I have made over the past 20yrs). For me to point my finger at a construction worker or a worker in the restaurant/hospitality business is a special kind of arrogance. Who the hell am I to dictate to those people what I want them to do? Incidentally, the grocery store around the corner that I go to has MANY more people than my office with 3 advisors, 6 support staff and 2 receptionists...but I digress. If I am able to work from home, I will work from home.

If people think they have to wait for an "all clear" sign to go back to work...I have news for you...the "all clear" is not coming. A thoughtful and measured plan to get people back to work and get the economy going is what is needed.

If anyone thinks Trump really said that people should ingest Lysol etc. they should have their head examined. Go back and watch the tape. It's the same thing as when they said he made fun of a handicapped person...it never happened.

I'll tell you another thing, no one on fk,n Hockeybuzz is going to tell a pro hockey player what he can or cannot do, that's for damned sure.

James T, you should get up at 5am, run 10k, come home, look at yourself, and ask why you're such an angry cynical little dude. Figure it out man...you're halfway through this.

On a lighter note. Give me your realistic wish list for the Oil in the off season. I’m a flyers fan but always liked them.

Oh god...I haven't thought of that in quite a while! lol

I think firstly I would like to see a goaltender that I feel extremely confident in...like back in the Fuhr or Ranford or even Cujo days.

If everyone is healthy I am not unhappy with the current D and there are a few young bucks coming up that show promise.

Offense is a mess I think. A stud 1st line winger for McDavid is my #2 after an elite goaltender. Draisaitl, Nuge, AA, Neal, Yamo, can find their spots in the second line and fill out the first, but we need a real sniper to ride shotgun with McDavid (think Patrik Liane).

I'd change pretty much all of the bottom 6, I see a lot of fringe players getting 3rd line minutes and 4th liners that should probably be in the AHL.

I also sometimes wonder if McDavid, Draisaitl, and Nuge is too much money down the middle and I would "explore" the offers for Draisaitl. He'd obtain so much roster quality that this team needs and I really think Nuge could step it up even more if given the chance. We could probably get 2 of those top wingers AND that goaltender for Draisaitl. I probably wouldn't like the offers, and Draisaitl is amazing...but I'd kick some tires. (hey, I love AMZN stock too but if you're going to give me $3k for it I'll take it! haha)
