sal cappaccio agrees w/54:

54.) Buffalo Bills: Curtis Weaver - EDGE - Boise State

We know the Bills coaching staff loves players with position flexibility, and this front office has opted for players with experience more often than not since they’ve been in charge. Even though he played only three years at Boise State, Weaver has played in 40 collegiate football games and can also play in multiple defenses, either with his hand on the ground as a rush-end or standing up. He’s had a super productive college career, and capped it off by being named the Mountain West Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year last season, an award Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes won in both 2008 and 2009 at TCU. In fact, Weaver passed Hughes for the most career sacks in the Mountain West, and is the conference's all-time leader with 34. That also ranks fifth all-time in NCAA history since the stat has been kept. He’s also the Mountain West’s career-leader in tackles for loss with 48.

- Michael Pachla

I can hear Pegula talking about this guy if he ever speaks with media again. He'll be all over Weaver passing Hughes for career sacks in Mountain West. Kinda like he was with Botterill for winning 4 WJC gold medals. He won 4 golds so must mean he'll be a great GM.

makes for a very long 20-21 season, unless they're planning on a stoppage due to a resurgence of the virus...

and, when/how will they do the draft?

- Michael Pachla

I heard yesterday they want to do the draft before resuming the season. I hate that idea for so many reasons.

Mostly because no one in the playoffs will make trades with non playoff teams.

So close to 1,000 players, coaches , trainers and officials will have less of a chance of dying than you winning a 1 in 292,201,338 Powerball, which you may or may not purchase a ticket for?

Interesting take.

How was the Buffalo rally? Did you and the other 45 vehicles driving around the circle get your point across?

Agreed. I thought I saw a tweet from Tim Graham where it looked like he was going to give Kim Pegula a chance to respond? Did that happen? It would probably be all stock answers anyway.

This shows that the nhl knows the season is over.

Been thinking about gas prices lately. They're so low, yet i'm unable to take advantage of them because I'm never driving. Haven't filled my tank since on or around 3/20. At some point if things get back to normal, we'll all be paying for the oil companies losses. $5/gal. out of the question? That is going to be when things are tough for everyone. No more bailouts because businesses are back in action and prices will be hiked so high across the board, you won't be able to afford anything.

I would appreciate Lacaprup's forecast on the storm after the storm. He's been killing it through this. Dude might be Paul Romer in real life.

He’s just holding Microsoft by the sounds of it and riding the wave.

Technology stocks are pretty high now at this point though so it may not be a good entry point if you aren’t already holding it.

I also know nothing, however my gold and silver holdings are doing well the past couple of weeks so must be a blind squirrel finding a nut.

I thought the same thing. I have no idea what it would look like. Maybe the playoff teams pick based on seeding?

It's a weird and bad idea all around

200% correct, Pach. They need to STFU and stay away. A lot of the good they have done around Buffalo has been washed away by those articles. I get the financial infusion they created, but WOW did they (and she herself) paint Kim in a bad light.

I still like my idea...scrap the regular season and have the tournament begin mid-latter may...use four sites for first two rounds, two sites for third round and one place for finals...maybe go:

1st round--1-game
2nd-round--best of three
3rd round--best of five
finals--best of seven

without getting into deep calculations, methinks they could get it done by the first week of july

You’re bragging about investing in gold and silver? infomercials on at some point after midnight have been telling me to invest in gold and silver for the last 40 years of my life. Really goin out on a limb there Flacccoville.

It's a fun idea.

Unfortunately, being fun pretty much guarantees the league wont do it

Maybe they like laferriere in Detroit?

thought it would be fun...also those first two rounds will place an emphasis on which team can get up and running fastest and goaltending

I get the sense the league is committed to playing 4 rounds of 7 games. The playoffs are viewed as almost sacred in NHL circles and as much as they want to make money, I dont think they want to "cheapen" the trophy

In this market uncertainty it seems like the only sure bet. If I had to make a guess in the next few months we are going to retest the lows that we saw in March but that can change at the flick of a switch depending on the technicals.

In terms of the Broncos, it would depend on how the board fell. I would like to walk out of the first round with either Lamb, Jeudy, or Ruggs to line up opposite Sutton. Other areas we can address though are OT and CB and wouldn’t be shocked if they wait to grab a WR.

Yep, good post.
Gotta be thinking 16 wins for the trophy, otherwise its tainted and has an asterisk.

I could see the regular season being scrapped, but not the sacred cup run

Any chance the broncos go qb early?

I'm not sure if lock is a sure fire starter.

If tua falls near their spot at 15, I could see them trade up a bit.

Doubt Tua drops past 5, but the experts have him slipping.

I could see new England move up, if he falls

this entire season is now an asterisk...however, 16 wins is probably right on
