Do you fully trust them to not do something like sign a Brassard or Soderberg as a safe, cheap UFA while believing Mittelstadt and Cozens will be the other Center and think that's enough? I sure don't. - kingcong39
I do. Oddly enough |

The Bills should definitely be in the market for a RB that can handle short yardage and take some of the load off, however I don’t believe they have to deal the capital to go after a Fournette when they can address that in rounds 3-5 of the draft. - Pegullaville
Why spend a 3-5 pick on a question mark when u can spend a 5th on Fournette & get a proven top10 RB?
And u have the 5th year option on him,
or u let him walk & get the 5th back...
So u essentially get him for free
Might even get a better pick back!
Yeldon sucks. Ivory sucked.
Let’s bring in a JAX RB that’s actually good please
He’d be a perfect guy to pair Singletary with
And will save Singletary from unnecessary wear & tear
It also allows us to spend our 2, 3, & 4 picks on other spots of need
It’s unlikely to draft a guy in the 5th round who’ll play a big role for us
And certainly won’t be anywhere as good as Fournette
This is a no brainer |

Well the guy you draft this year won’t be costing $4M against the cap.
Would most likely not have any character concerns.
“In 36 career games, #Jaguars RB Leonard a Fournette has recorded 100 rushing yards only eight times. Last time he did it was in week 7 vs. the Bengals in 2019.”
He is overrated. |

I ran a mock and picked for Buffalo. Not that it matters, but I thought this turned out ok.
54 - Curtis Weaver, , EDGE, Boise State
86 Cam Akers, RB Florida State
128 Van Jefferson, WR Florida
167 Harrison Bryant , TE Florida Atlantic
188 Dane Jackson , CB Pittsburgh
207 Tanner Muse, S Clemson

Where do you draw the line, though? Do you say whoever's in now gets in? Even Ottawa isn't technically eliminated yet. |

I have a hard time believing McDermott would use 3 straight picks on offense. |

Would you just skip to the playoffs then? Can't really finish the regular season, or even part of it, without all the teams. It's not like the playoff teams only remaining games were against other playoff teams.
I proposed that the NHL allows teams to call up as many AHLers needed to allow players overseas to stay there. For non-playoff teams at least. |

I don't know that overseas is going to be too big of an issue. According to reports, the league imposed a mandatory quarantine on its players through the end of April. I am guessing, assuming players and coaches (including Ralph Krueger, who still makes his home in Europe, I believe) are adhering to that, my guess is the leagues will be able to work something out. I have to imagine the league commissioners, in their committee with the Worstest President Ever to Walk the Earth™, addressed this issue. |

It will be interesting to see what they come up with. I think a large consideration will be to earn as much revenue as possible, so to me that means
-teams will play some regular season games to get to say 75 games each which means they get 90% of the TV and Advertising/Sponsorship revenue.
-expanded playoffs to generate additional playoff revenue. Maybe some pay-per-view charges for additional games
Of course, gate / concession revenue will be lost...and that will hurt quite a bit

I don't think it would be an issue at all, moreso just unnecessary to have these guys travel back for a week or two of meaningless games.
Could lower morale for some of these guys to have to come back for no real reason. It also gives you a chance to take a look at some AHLers who otherwise wouldn't have had a call up.
I know for sure that Olofsson, Johansson, Jokiharju and Kahun are overseas. I wouldn't mind letting them stay over there and getting a good look at guys like Borgen, Bryson, CJ Smith and even Cozens now that his season is over. |

While I get it, these guys, including the ones on rookie contracts are getting paid pretty handsomely to play. They'll get over it. |

This is what I suggested responding to a tweet:
"Could work. Finish season at 76 games. Gives every team 5-8 games to get their legs back. Playoffs: 5 gms first 2 rnds, then 7 gms.
Start next season in Nov, 72 games, no allstar break. Late start, better chance fans can attend."
I don't think they would expand the playoffs at all, and I wouldn't think they would be greedy enough to make any games PPV. That would look really bad.
I do think that they would get a lot more revenue thru advertising though. Even though the economy is bad and a lot of sports and events cancelled, big advertisers would be eager to get prime advertising space. They could draw companies that they haven't been able to attract previously. |

Speaking of no brainers 😀 hope you're well fitz.
Fornette isnt a top 10 running back.
There is a reason he's available for a late pick, durability and a bad attitude.
Seems like a perfect fit for NE. maybe they trade the gronk 5th for him.
I like the idea of a "fornette type" back to pair with Singletary. I think you can find one tommorow or Saturday. |

Who is paying a PPV charge for playoff games?
I find it highly doubtful that many people are going to pay for something has been part of the cable package they've had for a long time.
They would get hammered in the media for putting games on a PPV platform. |

Feels so good knowing the 3ER resolved the world's sports withdrawal. Link to the genesis of the greatest sports idea in the history of the modern era provided below. Gotta keep bringing it to the forefront for group thinkers like BuffaLOLOLOL19 who never made a take without a disclaimer. I guess there was that time when he debated me on who Pocahontas was going to endorse. Did she endorse Bernie yet? LOLOLOL! Sweet take, you nailed it! Like they always used to say, the 3ER isn't always right but aint ever been wrong. Still undefeated on this board.

I'm pumped about this draft.
Any luck with retrieving the Winfield Jersey? Looks like jr. Is going to be there around 45-54.
Part of me feels like we're going to pick a edge rusher.
Maybe Terrell Lewis or aj epenesa.

I just cant see the nhl season continuing, even in neutral sites. Imagine a multimillion $ asset getting sick and dying?
I'm guessing these young, rich guys are not following the guidelines? Too much risk in my opinion. |
